Stability of tonal alignment: the case of Greek prenuclear accents
TLDR
The authors found that the H is consistently aligned just after the onset of the first post-accentual vowel in pre-nuclear pre-nucleus accents, and that the alignment of the H was not affected by variations in the duration of the accented syllable.About:

Effects of tone and focus on the formation and alignment of f0contours
TL;DR: Results indicate that both focus and tonal interaction may generate substantial f0decline over the course of an utterance, and these findings seem to be able to reduce the unpredictability in the formation and alignment of f0contours in speech.

Phonetic realization of focus in English declarative intonation

TL;DR: It is argued that the approach used in the PENTA model, which takes account of both communicative functions and articulatory implementation, may provide a coherent account of detailed f(0) contours in English.

On the phonetics and phonology of “segmental anchoring” of F0: evidence from German
Michaela Atterer,D. Robert Ladd +1 more
TL;DR: This work measured the alignment of F0 minima and maxima with segmental landmarks, in prenuclear rising accents in Northern and Southern German, to argue against interpreting cross-language alignment differences in terms of distinct patterns of phonological association, and in favor of describing them in Terms of quantitative phonetic realization rules.

Speech melody as articulatorily implemented communicative functions
TL;DR: This view of speech melody is summarized into a comprehensive model of tone and intonation, namely, the parallel encoding and target approximation (PENTA), which allows multiple communicative functions to be conveyed in parallel.
