TLDR
In this article, the potential efficiency of high power ultrasonic transducers was investigated and an optimum design of the sandwich transducer which maximizes the potential energy efficiency and minimizes the effect of the contacting loss on the transducers resonant frequency was proposed.

The influence of piezoceramic stack location on nonlinear behavior of langevin transducers

TL;DR: This study investigates three Langevin transducers with different piezoceramic stack locations by characterizing their linear and nonlinear vibrational responses to understand how the stack location influences nonlinear behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study on the Langevin piezoelectric ceramic ultrasonic transducer of longitudinal-flexural composite vibrational mode.

TL;DR: In this paper, the Langevin longitudinal-flexural composite mode piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer is studied and the measured resonance frequencies of the longitudinal and the flexural vibrations in the composite transducers are also in good agreement with each other.

An electromechanical coupling model of a bending vibration type piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer.

TL;DR: An electromechanical coupling model of a bending vibration type piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer and Comparisons of the analytical results, FEM results and experiment results show good agreement.

Nonlinear characterisation of power ultrasonic devices used in bone surgery

TL;DR: In this article, the behavior of a commercial ultrasonic transducer used in bone surgery (Piezosurgery® Device) is dynamically characterised through finite element and experimental methods whilst operating in conjunction with a variety of tuned inserts.

Detecting cracks due to steel corrosion in reinforced cement mortar using intermodulation generation of ultrasonic waves

TL;DR: In this article, the sensitivity of the technique of intermodulation of ultrasonic waves to detect different damage states of concrete due to embedded steel corrosion was studied, and a statistically acceptable upper control limit for the initial (undamaged) Intensity Modulation Ratio (R) values was established.

Acoustic load dependency of electroacoustic efficiency in the electrostrictive ultrasonic transducer and acoustical matching

H. Banno, +2 more
- 01 Mar 1979 -
TL;DR: In this article, the acoustic load dependency of the electroacoustic efficiency in the electrostrictive transducer is derived theoretically and measured experimentally, and the results show that there is an optimum acoustic load resistance which maximizes the electroACoustic efficiency.
