Catalytic Decomposition of 2-Propanol over Different Metal-Cation-Doped OMS-2 Materials
TL;DR: The catalytic properties of manganese oxide octahedral molecular sieve materials (OMS-2) with different metal cation dopants were investigated for the reaction of 2-propanol decomposition as discussed by the authors.

Preparative Parameters and Framework Dopant Effects in the Synthesis of Layer-Structure Birnessite by Air Oxidation
TL;DR: In this article, an air-oxidation method was used to synthesize a layer-structure birnessite (OL-1) by the oxidation of Mn2+ by adding five metal cations (Fe, Co, Ni, Ca, and Cd) to the initial reactant solutions as framework dopants to study their effects on the synthesis and to modify the properties of the resulting Birnessite.

Characteristics of manganese nodules as adsorbents and catalysts, a review
TL;DR: In this paper, the use of manganese nodules for catalytic and sorptive properties has been reviewed for both marine and fresh water sediments, and it is shown that they constitute a vast source of inexpensive catalysts and adsorbents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization and catalytic activity of birnessite type potassium manganese oxide nanotubes and nanorods
TL;DR: In this paper, a calcination process using manganese acetate and potassium hydroxide as precursors in presence of polyethylene glycol-melamine-formaldehyde was used to synthesize nanotubes and nanorods.

Distribution of oxidation power of surface oxygen species on manganese dioxide during the oxidation of carbon monoxide
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the oxidation power of surface oxygen species on manganese dioxides and their catalytic activities and showed that the distribution of oxidation powers varies depending upon the ambient gas atmospheres and that the catalytic activity for the oxidation of carbon monoxide is closely related to the oxygen species of higher oxidation powers.
