Thermodynamic characterization of metal dissolution and inhibitor adsorption processes in mild steel/2,5-bis(n-thienyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazoles/hydrochloric acid system

TL;DR: In this article, the corrosion inhibition of mild steel in 1-M hydrochloric acid solution by some 2,5-bis n -thienyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazoles (n -TTH) has been studied in relation to the concentration of the inhibitors as well as the temperature using chemical (weight loss) and electrochemical (ac impedance and dc polarisation) techniques.

Benzimidazole and its derivatives as corrosion inhibitors for mild steel in 1M HCl solution

TL;DR: In this article, the inhibition ability of benzimidazole and its derivatives against the corrosion of mild steel in 1M HCl solution was studied, and the change of impedance parameters observed by variation of inhibitors concentration within the range of 50-250ppm was an indication of their adsorption.

Study of the mechanism and inhibiting efficiency of 3,5-bis(4-methylthiophenyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole on mild steel corrosion in acidic media

TL;DR: In this article, 3,5-bis(4-methylthiophenyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole (4-MTHT) has been studied for corrosion inhibition of mild steel in 1 M HCl and 0.5 M sulphuric acid (H 2 SO 4 ).

Effect of Cefazolin on the corrosion of mild steel in HCl solution

TL;DR: In this paper, the adsorption and inhibition effect of Cefazolin on mild steel was studied by weight loss, EIS, potentiodynamic polarization and atomic force microscopy techniques.

Thermodynamic properties of 2,5-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole as a corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in normal sulfuric acid medium

TL;DR: In this paper, 4-MOX was used as a corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in sulfuric acid media and its efficiency attains more than 96.19% at 8 × 10 −4 4 ǫ at 333 K. The inhibition was assumed to occur via adsorption of the oxadiazole molecules on the metal surface.
