Electrochemical non-enzymatic glucose sensors.

TL;DR: Better model of such glucose sensors is sought by summarizing and revisiting the previous reports on the electrochemistry of glucose itself and new electrode materials, which will lead to possible breakthroughs in designing the enzymeless glucose sensing devices that realize innovative and powerful detection.

Studies of Electrooxidation of Dextrose in Neutral Media

TL;DR: In this article, an experimental study of dextrose oxidation on platinized platinum electrodes has been carried out in phosphate buffer at pH 7.4 and it was found that gluconic acid is the reaction product and is found to inhibit oxidation of deextrose due to adsorption on the electrode surface.
