Multifunctional properties and applications of yttrium ferrite nanoparticles prepared by citrate precursor route

TL;DR: In this paper, the formation of monophasic orthorhombic YFeO 3 nanoparticles with a fairly uniform distribution of nearly spherical particles, high specific surface area of ~338 m 2 /g and visible band gap of 2.5 eV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanisms of amino acid polycondensation on silica and alumina surfaces

TL;DR: In this article, it is shown that the condensation of amino acids into linear peptides on silica surface proceeds only at the presence of at least small amounts of water, and the most probable mechanisms of extending of peptide chains are proposed on the basis of obtained experimental data.
Journal ArticleDOI

A vibrational study of the adsorption and decomposition of formic acid and surface formate on Al(111)

TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption and decomposition of formate and formic acid have been studied on the Al(111) surface using high resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and temperature programmed desorption (TPD).
Journal ArticleDOI

Topochemical acetylation of cellulose nanopaper structures for biocomposites: mechanisms for reduced water vapour sorption

TL;DR: In this paper, wood-based nanofibrillated cellulose and bacterial cellulose (BC) nanopaper structures, with different specific surface area (SSA), ranging from 0.03 to 173.3 m2/g, were topochemically acetylated and characterized by ATR-FTIR, XRD, solid-state CP/MAS 13C-NMR and moisture sorption studies.
