Logic, Philosophy and Physics: a critical commentary on the dilemma of categories.

TL;DR: In this article, a critical commentary regarding the attitude of the logician and the philosopher towards the physicist and physics is provided, where a truthful conversion of verbal statements to physico-mathematical expressions unravels the hitherto unrealized connection between Heisenberg uncertainty relation and Cauchy's definition of derivative that is used in physics.

Common sense, the history, and the Theory of Relativity Common sense, the history, and the Theory of Relativity Common sense, the history, and the Theory of Relativity Common sense, the history, and the Theory of Relativity

TL;DR: The relationship between modern physics and common sense is discussed by investigating whether there is any substantial role left for the latter in the scientific activity as mentioned in this paper, and it is shown that ordinary judgement is needed in some of the most crucial decisions that a researcher has to make in his or her work.

Chapter 12: Special Relativity, Time, Probabilism and Ultimate Reality

TL;DR: In this paper, it is argued that the fundamental problem is not "What does special relativity imply?" but rather "What is the best guess about the ultimate nature of the universe in the light of current theoretical knowledge in physics?".

Brain Time and Mind Time

David Park
TL;DR: For centuries, scientists and philosophers have struggled with conceptual problems posed by the self, by consciousness and will, and with the rise of various exact sciences, mechanistic notions have tended to overshadow the tremendous fact we have to start with: that within limits that seem to us very broad, we have a sense of freedom in choosing what we shall do next as mentioned in this paper.
