TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the emergence of informal leadership in multinational teams and proposed a model that describes how global inequalities reproduce and accounts for who gets to lead these teams, and concluded that individuals enhance and/or compensate for the effects of their status characteristics by virtue of their core self-evaluations.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors make use of a dataset which contains material relating to young Swedish people who have recently completed their studies and started working, and explore whether using social networks as such or using individuals resources which are accessible through social networks (social capital) provides relative advantages in the competition for better jobs.
