Time-dependent reliability assessment of aging structures considering stochastic resistance degradation process

TLDR
In this article, a Gamma-based stochastic resistance degradation model is developed by incorporating the spatial degradation into a non-stationary degradation process, and based on the hazard-function-based reliability analysis method, a novel reliability assessment approach of aging structures is proposed.

The Inverse Gaussian Process as a Degradation Model

TL;DR: In this article, the inverse Gaussian process (IG) is used as a limiting compound Poisson process to model degradation of products deteriorating in random environments, which makes the IG process much more attractive compared with the Gamma process, which has been thoroughly investigated in the literature of degradation modeling.
