The invention relates to medicine and medical technology and can be used for detecting the presence of propanone-2 in tidal air and for screening out and diagnosing hyperketonemia. It offers the technical advantage of permitting precise detection of propanone-2, the presence of which is determined by means of a chemical sensor for which a polyvinylidene-fluorhydrexa-fluopropylene copolymer is used as a sensitive surface, the physico-chemical agent associated with said sensitive surface being a piezoelectric AT resonator with an oscillation frequency of 20 Mhz, while the mass of said sensitive surface of the resonator electrodes represents 50-100 mcgm, and the volume of the reactive cell 0.4 cm3.
