Trellis shaping for reduction of the peak-to-average power ratio in coherent optical OFDM systems

TLDR
In this article, a frequency-domain method with good structural properties for reduction of the PAPR in coherent optical OFDM systems was proposed, and it was shown that the nonlinear threshold can be increased considerably at modest redundancy.
