TLDR
In this paper, a test based on maximum likelihood estimators is given for testing the equality of the shape parameters in two Weibull distributions with the scale parameters unknown, along with a procedure for selecting the process with the larger mean life.
Abstract
A test based on maximum likelihood estimators is given for testing the equality of the shape parameters in two Weibull distributions with the scale parameters unknown. Tests for the equality of the scale parameters are also presented along with a procedure for selecting the Weibull process with the larger mean life.

Frequent Fires in Ancient Shrub Tundra: Implications of Paleorecords for Arctic Environmental Change

TL;DR: Paleoecological data suggest that greater fire activity will likely accompany temperature-related increases in shrub-dominated tundra predicted for the 21st century and beyond, which will have broad impacts on physical and biological systems as well as on land-atmosphere interactions in the Arctic.

Survival analysis in public health research

TL;DR: The common statistical techniques employed to analyze survival data in public health research, including the Kaplan-Meier method for estimating the survival function and the Cox proportional hazards model to identify risk factors and to obtain adjusted risk ratios are reviewed.

TL;DR: In this article, the problem of selecting the particular process with the larger mean life is considered, and three techniques are considered and three procedures are constructed to show their advantages, and an alternative sequential procedure has also been proposed and shown to be valuable in some situations.

Sampling Inspection Plans for Discriminating Between Two Weibull Processes

TL;DR: Four procedures for choosing the better of two processes, the units from which have life times distributed according to the Weibull distribution were formulated in an earlier paper and some sampling plans based on them are discussed here.
