Vibrations of unsymmetrical sandwich beams and plates with viscoelastic cores

TLDR
In this paper, the analysis of flexural vibration of unsymmetrical sandwich beams and plates, with viscoelastic cores, has been carried out and the influence of inclusion of inertia effects, other than transverse ones, on the response due to forced harmonic excitation has been reported.

A comparison of some equations for the flexural vibration of damped sandwich beams

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compare the theories of flexural vibration of damped, three-layer sandwich beams as presented by Yan and Dowell, and by DiTaranto and Mead and Markus.

Thermoelastic buckling and vibration behavior of a functionally graded sandwich beam with constrained viscoelastic core

TL;DR: In this paper, the buckling and vibration behavior of a functionally graded material (FGM) sandwich beam having constrained viscoelastic layer (VEL) is studied in thermal environment by using finite element formulation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Finite element analysis of damping the vibrations of laminated composites

TL;DR: In this paper, a typical structure is that whose basic layer is covered with a damping layer and a thin constraining layer, which is used in ship building and aerospace technology.

A finite element model using a unified formulation for the analysis of viscoelastic sandwich laminates

TL;DR: In this paper, a layerwise finite element model for the analysis of sandwich laminated plates with a viscoelastic core and laminated anisotropic face layers is presented, where the stiffness and mass matrices of the element are obtained by Carrera's Unified Formulation (CUF).

Wave Propagation in Sandwich Plates with Periodic Auxetic Core

TL;DR: In this article, the wave propagation in and the vibration of three-layered sandwich panels with honeycomb core are analyzed and controlled, and a finite element model along with the theory of periodic structures evaluates the influence of core materials of different geometry placed periodically along two dimensions of the structure.
