Sammy D. Pair,Robert J. Horvat +1 more
TLDR
In this article, the cis-jasmone may be used alone or in combination with one or more other volatiles of the Japanese honeysuckle flower, particularly linalool and/or phenylacetaldehyde.Abstract:
Compositions of cis-jasmone were found to effectively attract adult Lepidoptera. The cis-jasmone may be used alone or in combination with one or more other volatiles of the Japanese honeysuckle flower, particularly linalool and/or phenylacetaldehyde. By attracting the adult Lepidoptera to attracticidal baits and/or field traps, the attractants are useful for the control and monitoring of these agricultural pests.read more

Essential oils as green pesticides potential and constraints
TL;DR: It is in developing countries which are rich in endemic plant biodiversity that these pesticides may ultimately have their greatest impact in future integrated pest management (IPM) programmes due to their safety to non-target organisms and the environment.

Advances in Attract-and-Kill for Agricultural Pests: Beyond Pheromones
TL;DR: Attract-and-kill has considerable potential as a tactic in integrated management of pests of agricultural crops, but the use of sex pheromones as attractants is limited by male multiple mating and immigration of mated females into treated areas.

Trapping Alfalfa Looper Moths (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) with Single and Double Component Floral Chemical Lures
TL;DR: Catches of alfalfa looper moths were enhanced when phenylacetaldehyde was presented with cis-jasmone and when benzyl acetate was presented along with benzaldehyde, compared with these chemicals presented singly.

Effect of Emamectin Benzoate on Mortality, Proboscis Extension, Gustation and Reproduction of the Corn Earworm, Helicoverpa zea
TL;DR: The data suggest that emamectin benzoate is a useful toxicant in an attract-and-kill control strategy against H. zea and that Larval survival to the pupal stage was also significantly reduced by ingestion of emametricine by female H.Zea.
