Oxygen isotopic constraints on the origin and parent bodies of eucrites, diogenites, and howardites

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the oxygen isotopic compositions of 18 eucrites and four diogenites and inferred that the six anomalous eucites are probably derived from five distinct Vesta-like parent bodies (Pasamonte and PCA 91007 could come from one body).

Oxygen isotopic constraints on the origin and parent bodies of eucrites, diogenites, and howardites

Elsevier Ltd
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the oxygen isotopic compositions of 18 eucrites and four diogenites, including NWA 1240, Pasamonte (both clast and matrix samples), PCA 91007, A-881394, and Ibitira.
Journal ArticleDOI

Formation of vesicles in asteroidal basaltic meteorites

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed vesicle sizes and abundances for two angrites and two eucrites using high-resolution X-ray computed tomography and conducted numerical modeling of bubble formation in a dike of ascending magma.

Bombardment history of Asteroid 4 Vesta recorded by brecciated eucrites: Large impact event clusters at 4.50 Ga and discreet bombardment until 3.47 Ga

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured fifteen high-precision new 40 Ar/39 Ar plateau ages on plagioclase and matrix for ten of these meteorites with a tight cluster of nine ages obtained from three different polymict breccias.
