The vacuum system is integrated in the end-effector of a delta-robot that is used for sorting recyclable wastes, thus providing the opportunity to assess vacuum performance on difficult and demanding situations.
The robot model has good operating performance.
The experimental results demonstrate that the multi-sensor hardware system and obstacle avoidance algorithm based on SFC neural network proposed in this paper can improve the localization and obstacle avoidance accuracy of vacuum cleaning robot highly, which is robust for different working environment of vacuum cleaning robot.

Through extensive experiments carried out with a modified iRobot Roomba vacuum cleaning robot and in simulation we demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.
This case study investigates the implementation and use of robot vacuum cleaners in Danish eldercare, demonstrating how robot vacuums have proven to have considerable interpretive flexibility with variation in the perceived nature of technology, technology strategy, and technology use between key stakeholders in eldercare.
Moreover, this study signifies the importance of, and desire for, good, customised robot-delivered care.
We demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in extensive experiments carried out both in simulation and with a real vacuum cleaning robot, also in comparison to previous approaches.
It is shown that this kind of robot can enhance the grade of vacuum and cleanliness in wafer processing system.
