Experiments show that our model describes how the changes of system component states affect the battery lifetime, and that it improves the accuracy of online battery lifetime prediction.
Using these models, we demonstrate how we can (i) accurately predict end-of-discharge for aged batteries, and (ii) predict the end-of-life of a battery as a function of anticipated usage.
Finally, through the experiments, obtained results for both a new and an aged battery demonstrate the accuracy of the methodology and how it can improve the battery's lifespan.
Experimental results show that the proposed four-stage smoke-detection algorithm outperforms conventional smoke-detection algorithms in terms of accuracy of smoke detection, providing a low false-alarm rate and high reliability in open and large spaces.
This provides highly realistic, long-term predictions of battery response and thereby enables quantitative comparisons of varied battery use strategies.
This approach can be further implemented within a BMS to quantify the causes of battery ageing which would support battery lifetime control strategies and future battery designs.
This paper introduces a novel new smoke detector characterized by its very small size and very high sensitivity.
It is shown that such a smoke detector is able to operate reliably under low concentration of smoke and high relative humidity conditions.
Alarm algorithms utilizing ionization detector smoke measurements proved to be more effective than measurements from photoelectric detectors.
