By applying simple and multiple linear regression analysis, the results reveal a statistically significant relationship between defect density and number of developers and software size jointly.
Concludes that the scope and heterogeneity of software development activity has supported the formation of a number of different and competing trajectories which lead to quite different conclusions about the future of software development.
The aggregated results show that the productivity of software development processes still depends significantly on the capabilities of developers as well as on the tools and methods they use.
