TL;DR: In this article, a photodriven relay was fabricated as a trial photostrictive actuator using the optimum composition PLZT(3/52/48) for solid solution ceramics of (Pb, La, Zr, Ti)O3.
Abstract: Photostriction explainable by the superposition of the bulk photovoltaic effect and piezoelectricity has been investigated in the solid solution ceramics of (Pb, La)(Zr, Ti)O3. Using the optimum composition PLZT(3/52/48), we have fabricated a photodriven relay as a trial photostrictive actuator. Though the response is rather slow, we have observed primitive relay function controllable by the optical irradiation.

TL;DR: In this article, thin film photovoltaic cells were realized by a direct polymerization of (CH)X onto a sprayed (CHx) layer, the dark intensityvoltage characteristics were obtained for different temperatures and the capacity-voltage curves at different frequencies.
Abstract: We realised thin film photovoltaic Cells by a direct polymerisation of (CH)X onto a sprayed (CH)x layer, The dark intensity-voltage characteristics are obtained for different temperatures and the capacity-voltage curves at different frequencies. The photovoltaic behaviour is studied. In spite of its low efficiency such junctions could lead, after improvment to very cheap photovoltaic cells.

TL;DR: In this paper, the possibility of photovoltaic current in the first order spectral transparency region for a noncentrosymmetric crystal in the magnetic field was shown, which must be accompanied by an unusual absorption induced by the electric field of the exciting light wave.
Abstract: The possibility is shown of the appearance of photovoltaic current in the first order spectral transparency region for a noncentrosymmetric crystal in the magnetic field. This phenomenon must be accompanied by an unusual absorption induced by the electric field of the exciting light wave. [Russian Text Ignored].

TL;DR: Anomalous but weak photovoltaic effect has been observed in the case of thin polycrystalline ZnTe films obliquely deposited on glass substrate in this article, where a model comprising of a long chain of aligned microcells in the form of pp+ homojunctions has been proposed.
Abstract: Anomalous but weak photovoltaic effect has been observed in the case of thin polycrystalline ZnTe films obliquely deposited on glass substrate. Photovoltage of the order of a few hundred millivolt per centimeter have been observed at the ambient temperature. Optimized conditions for growing films to obtain maximum photovoltage have been found. In order to explain the observed photovoltaic effect, a model comprising of a long chain of aligned microcells in the form of pp+ homojunctions has been proposed. The implications are discussed.

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the magnetic field on the linear and circular bulk photovoltaic effect in the piezoelectric crystals Bi12GeO20 and Bi12SiO20 is investigated.
Abstract: The influence of the magnetic field on the linear and circular bulk photovoltaic effect in the piezoelectric crystals Bi12GeO20 and Bi12SiO20 is investigated. The Hall component of the circular photovoltaic current is measured. The mobility of the nonthermolized electrons is obtained from the Hall measurements. For linear photovoltaic current the Hall component is absent. The possibility of the separation of the ballistic and shift mechanisms of the bulk photovoltaic effect by means of the Hall measurements is predicted.
