TL;DR: In this paper, an embodiment of a blower unit for a vehicle, and an air conditioning device comprising of a motor and a fan was presented, which can prevent the backflow of air to the outside of the scroll case through the arrangement of the bell mouth and the scroll cases and the structural shape of the mouth.
Abstract: An embodiment disclosed herein relates to a blower unit for a vehicle, and an air conditioning device comprising same. The blower unit comprises: a scroll case having a suction port formed therein; a fan rotatably disposed inside the scroll case; a motor having a shaft coupled to the fan; and a bell mouth disposed at the suction port, wherein an inner end of the scroll case forming the suction port is disposed radially apart from the fan so as to form a gap, and the bell mouth prevents air flowing due to the rotation of the fan from flowing backward through the gap. Accordingly, the blower unit for a vehicle, and the air conditioning device comprising same can prevent the backflow of air to the outside of the scroll case through the arrangement of the bell mouth and the scroll case and the structural shape of the bell mouth.

TL;DR: In this article, an outdoor unit for an air conditioner device consisting of a bell mouth having a first tapered part in which the inside diameter on the upstream side from which air flows in is greater than the inside size on the downstream side, and a straight pipe part extending downstream in a straight line from the first Tapered part.
Abstract: This outdoor unit for an air conditioner device comprises a bell mouth having a first tapered part in which the inside diameter on the upstream side from which air flows in is greater than the inside diameter on the downstream side, and a straight pipe part extending downstream in a straight line from the first tapered part. The first tapered part has a first bend part forming an air inflow port, a second bend part having a smaller inside diameter than the first bend part, and a linking part that is continuous from the first bend part and the second bend part and that has an inner surface extending in a straight line. The angle of the inner surface of the linking part with respect to the direction of the axis of the straight pipe part is at least 33°. In the direction of the axis of the straight pipe part, the ratio of the sum of a first length of the first tapered part and a second length of the straight pipe part relative to the total length of the bell mouth is below 0.76.

TL;DR: In this article, a bladed wheel of a blower device has a main plate, a side plate and multiple fan blades between the main plate and the side plate, and an air reflecting space is formed in the fan casing at a radial-outside position of the guide wall portion.
Abstract: A bladed wheel of a blower device has a main plate, a side plate and multiple fan blades between the main plate and the side plate. A fan casing of the blower device has a bell mouth portion and a guide wall portion, which extends in a radial-outward direction from an axial rear-side end of the bell mouth portion to an outer periphery of the side plate. An air reflecting space is formed in the fan casing at a radial-outside position of the guide wall portion and at an axial front-side position of the fan casing between an axial rear-side end of the guide wall portion and an axial front-end wall portion of the fan casing. Air blown out from the bladed wheel flows through an air blow-out passage, wherein sound wave of the air from the bladed wheel and sound wave of the air from the air reflecting space interfere with each other so that noise is decreased.

TL;DR: The exhaust gas cooling apparatus as mentioned in this paper is suitable for cooling high temperature Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) outflow gases during regeneration, attaches to an exhaust pipe 160 preferably via fins 180 or a bracket (150, fig.3), e.g. when mounting in an engine bay.
Abstract: Exhaust gas cooling apparatus 10, suitable for cooling high temperature Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) outflow gases during regeneration, attaches to an exhaust pipe 160 preferably via fins 180 or a bracket (150, fig.3), e.g. when mounting in an engine bay. The apparatus has a tubular shroud body (100, fig.1) having an input end (102, fig.1) and an output end (104, fig.1), the input end having a bell mouth opening 106 (i.e. flared or frusto-conical) that leaves a substantially annular gap (162, fig.3) between the exhaust conduit and the bell mouth opening, the output end has an edge (118, fig.1) which is not perpendicular to its own axis. The Venturi effect causes the gap to draw in colder ambient air. The apparatus has a curved shroud portion (108, fig.1), a turn-down tip, at the output end on which two curved vanes (110, 112, fig.1) are mounted, optionally in slots, forming a diffuser. The curved shroud portion may have a u-shaped cross-section. The apparatus may be constructed from welded stainless steel, or by additive manufacture, or moulding. Uses include vehicles or a stationary machine like a wood chipper.

TL;DR: In this paper, an indoor unit for a refrigeration cycle device, and an impeller, are provided, such that it is possible to efficiently blow air on a heat exchanger and suppress a decrease in heat exchange efficiency.
Abstract: Provided are an indoor unit for a refrigeration cycle device, and an impeller, such that it is possible to efficiently blow air on a heat exchanger and suppress a decrease in heat exchange efficiency. The indoor unit (1) comprises: a heat exchanger (2) that is disposed within a housing (5); a bell mouth (7) that is disposed in the housing (5); and a turbofan (8) that draws air in from the bell mouth (7) and blows the air on the heat exchanger (2). The inner end of the bell mouth (7) is connected to the flat inner surface of the housing (5). The turbofan (8) is equipped with a main plate (31) that spreads radially, and a plurality of blades (32) that protrude from the main plate (31) and are annularly arranged. Each of the blades (32) is exposed, the outermost diameter D1o formed by the blade (32) is larger than the outermost diameter D2 of the main plate (31), and the protruding end of the blade 32 reaches the inner end of the bell mouth (7).
