TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a CIRCULATING or CYCLIC DEVICE, for converting analog data to digital form, and a CAPACITIVE TRANSFER TECHNIQUE is provided for ACCOMPLISHING SUCH CONVERSION.
Abstract: IN A CIRCULATING OR CYCLIC DEVICE, FOR CONVERTING ANALOG DATA TO DIGITAL FORM, A CAPACITIVE TRANSFER TECHNIQUE IS PROVIDED FOR ACCOMPLISHING SUCH CONVERSION. IN ADDITION, A CAPACITIVEREFERENCE VOLTAGE SWITCHING TECHNIQUE, PARTICULARLY FOR CYCLIC CONVERTERS IS PROVIDED FOR PRESENTING A BIPOLAR REFERENCE SWITCHING EFFECT UTILIZING A UNIPOLAR REFERENCE.

TL;DR: Several basic circuits for log and antilog generators, with differently weighted operating characteristics, are analyzed and, applications are described in this paper, where several basic circuits with different operating characteristics are compared.
Abstract: Logarithmic converters have an important place in signal processing and the bipolar transistor can be an invaluable element for generating such functions. As with most any design, there are tradeoffs. With logarithmic converters composed of bipolar transistors, response time must be weighted against dynamic range. Several basic circuits for log and antilog generators, with differently weighted operating characteristics, are analyzed and, applications are described.

TL;DR: In this paper, a function generator as used in an analog computer and employing a pair of digital to analog converters having outputs connected in summing relation is described, and circuit means connected with the converters to drive the output of one converter back and forth between function and reference values.
Abstract: The disclosure concerns a function generator as used in an analog computer and employing a pair of digital to analog converters having outputs connected in summing relation; and circuit means connected with the converters to drive the output of one converter back and forth between function and reference values, and further characterized in that the output of one converter increases while the output of the other converter decreases, and vice versa.

TL;DR: In this article, the advantages of reduction in size and the elimination of audible noise have given designers the incentive to increase the frequency of operation of inverters and converters to the limit of the capabilities of available power transistors.
Abstract: Inverters and converters with large power output capabilities are presently being operated at frequencies above the audible band. The advantages of reduction in size and the elimination of audible noise have given designers the incentive to increase the frequency of operation of inverters and converters to the limit of the capabilities of available power transistors.

TL;DR: In this article, an improved CIRCUIT for PROTECTING ELECTRIC POWER CONVERTERS from Commutation FAILURE is presented. But, it does not provide any means for direct detection of the actual MARGIN of an ELECTRIC power converter.
Abstract: IN THIS IMPROVED CIRCUIT FOR PROTECTING ELECTRIC POWER CONVERTERS FROM COMMUTATION FAILURE, SUITABLE MEANS IS PROVIDED FOR DIRECTLY DETECTING THE ACTUAL MARGIN OF AN ELECTRIC POWER CONVERTER AND FOR COMPARING THE DETECTED ANGLE WITH A GIVEN REFERENCE IN ORDER TO INITIATE MARGIN ANGLE INCREASING MEASURES IF THE DETECTED ANGLE IS UNDERSIZE.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new class of generalized impedance converters (GIC) consisting of generalized positive and negative converters is defined and realized using operational amplifiers and passive elements.
Abstract: A new class of generalized impedance converters (GIC) consisting of generalized positive and negative impedance converters is defined and realized using operational amplifiers and passive elements. An example is included to illustrate their use in network synthesis.
