Abstract: The present invention relates to an stormproof billboard and control method thereof, which includes a column, a billboard stent, a rotating element, a motor, an electromagnetic brake, an anemoscope, a trigger switch, and an electric control assembly, wherein the control element respectively connects with the electromagnetic brake, the motor and the trigger switch, the electric control assembly controls the work of the motor and the electromagnetic brake by the wind speed signal measured by the anemoscope and the signal of the trigger switch. By using above structure, the invention can change the windward section of the stormproof billboard by the wind speed and the wind direction, such that effectively reduces the wind load, makes the stormproof billboard more secure in use. The invention is easy to control and secure to use, makes the advertisement have a good effect, it is worth to use the stormproof billboard.

Abstract: In the present work, a new type of magnet specially designed for the thin slab casting funnel shape mold is developed. The unique feature of the new type of magnet lies in the fact that, the inner surfaces of the new magnet facing the mold are irregular to fit the complex funnel shape, while the inner surfaces of the convential magnet are planar. Magnetic fields produced by both the new type and the conventional magnets are computed under the same number of ampere turns for comparison. Keeping the position of the magnet relative to the mold fixed, numerical simulations of the influence of the new and conventional type magnets on the flow field in the mold are made. The commercial software FLUENT is used to predict the behavior of electrically conducting fluid flow under the influence of static magnetic fields. For the computation of magnetic fields, the finite element method (FEM) is adopted, while for fluid flow, the finite volume method (FVM) based on structured body fitted coordinate grids is used. The results show that the new type of magnet can produce larger magnetic flux density in the mold region than the conventional one does with the same current intensity. For the funnel shape mold, the electromagnetic brake (EMBr) due to the new magnet can provide a more uniform downstream velocity profile than that due to the conventional magnet, and almost 40 pct reduction in ampere turns; this fact implies that a lot of electrical energy could be saved.

SOLUTION: In external shape and dimension of the electromagnetic brake device 6 on an upper side of a body 1 of equipment, of the electromagnetic brake devices 6 oppositely installed at two upper and lower portions, thickness (axial direction thickness) is made smaller than that of the whole of the hoising machine, and a width Lw of a direction between two traveling parts 20a and 20b of a rope 20 to be a width direction is made smaller than a distance between the traveling parts 20a and 20b (which is substantially the same as a diameter of a sheave 2). The electromagnetic brake device 6 is capable of exerting high output efficiency, while maintaining the output level and being compactly constituted, since the electromagnetic brake device 6 has the cross-sectional shape close to a square and does not become slender. Abstract: An electromagnetic braking system and method is provided for selectively braking a motor using an electromagnetic brake having an electromagnet, a permanent magnet, a rotor assembly, and a brake pad. The brake assembly applies when the electromagnet is de-energized and releases when the electromagnet is energized. When applied the permanent magnet moves the brake pad into frictional engagement with a housing, and when released the electromagnet cancels the flux of the permanent magnet to allow a leaf spring to move the brake pad away from the housing. A controller has a DC/DC converter for converting a main bus voltage to a lower braking voltage based on certain parameters. The converter utilizes pulse-width modulation (PWM) to regulate the braking voltage. A calibrated gap is defined between the brake pad and permanent magnet when the brake assembly is released, and may be dynamically modified via the controller.

Abstract: The utility model relates to a brake apparatus of an aerogenerator. An electromagnetic brake mechanism is arranged between a rotating shaft of the aerogenerator and a stander of the aerogenerator or a housing. The tail end of the rotating shaft of the aerogenerator extends out of the housing; an additional suction-closing type electromagnetic brake mechanism is arranged between the extended tail end plane of the rotating shaft and the tail end plane of the housing; the suction-closing type electromagnetic brake mechanism sucks the friction between the planes for closing, thus reducing the speed of the rotating shaft and stopping the rotating shaft. A rubbing surface is arranged outside the housing, and because the mechanism is generally used under the over-strong wind, the heat produced between the rubbing surfaces can be dissipated quickly. The working time of an electromagnetic block can be controlled by the temperature inside a generator or a current inductor; when the temperature or the current is satisfied with the designed requirement, the electromagnetic block stops running and releases a brake piece, so that the aerogenerator can continue to work. The brake apparatus has the advantages of simple structure, high reliability and low cost.

Abstract: A three-dimensional mathematical model is developed to study coupled turbulent flow, heat, solute transport, and solidification in a slab continuous caster with electromagnetic brake. Based on the analogy analysis, all the governing equations can be expressed as a general differential equation and be solved by a general numerical method. Numerical results show that a small corner-vortex appears near the free surface due to the interaction between the moving solidified shell and the upward flow. Influenced by the fluid flow, the temperature and solute distribution can also be divided into the upper and lower recirculation zones but the distribution of carbon concentration is opposite to that of temperature. The three-dimensional magnetic field can effectively damp the local flow and affect heat and solute transfer in the mold.

SOLUTION: An operational sense imparting type input device 10 includes: an operational section 12 which is rotated and operated; photointerrupters 18, 19 which detect the rotation state of the operational section 12; an armature rotor 22 which rotates together with the operational section 12; an electromagnetic brake 24 which applies rotating resistance to the operational section 12 via the armature rotor 22; and an electric motor 30 which separately from the electromagnetic brake 24, applies self-sustained torque to the operational section 12 via a rotational axis 14. A control section 28 can drive only the electric magnetic brake 24 for applying torque so as to reduce power consumption, and can drive the electric motor 30 to cause the self-sustained rotation of the operational section 12. Abstract: The present invention provides a disc electromagnetic brake capable of ensuring normal application and release of brake force, and simultaneously reducing vibration and noise generated at a spline connection section. The invention forms weight imbalance generation sections (11-15) in thickness range of the brake disc (3). By forming the above structure, premature abrasion and damage of the brake pad may be prevented because sections of the brake disc (3) relative to a fixed brake body (5) and an armature (6) is unnecessary to be processed. In addition, by actively forming the weight imbalance, the spline teeth (3T) of the brake disc (3) may always contact with a groove wall on a side of a spline hub (2) in spline groove (2G) direction, such that vibration and noise generated at a spline connection section may be reduced. Further, because gelatinous lubricant is unnecessary, the invention may prevent gelatinous lubricant from interfering normal application and release of brake force.

SOLUTION: The state of electrification of the exciting coils B1a-B4a of non-excitation operating electromagnetic brakes B1-B4 is switched by an opening/closing operation in two steps between a main contact 8a and sub contacts 9a-12a. A relay control circuit 3 first determines the abnormality of a main relay 8 when the robot is started. Only when the main relay 8 is not abnormal, a first abnormality determination control is performed to determine the abnormality of the sub relays 9-12. When the abnormality of the sub relays 9-12 is determined, the main contact 8a is closed for a time required for confirming the state of the electrification of the sub contacts 9a-12a. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic brake control device capable of suppressing the heat generation of electromagnetic brakes of non-excitation operation types possessed by servo motors, in the servo motors which drive arms or the like of an articulated robot.SOLUTION: The motors 21 to 26 for driving drive shafts are arranged at respective joints of the articulated robot, and a CPU 30 controls the braking of the drive shafts by the electromagnetic brakes 21b to 26b of the non-excitation operation types possessed by the respective motors 21 to 26. In a period that the braking of the drive shafts is released, the CPU 30 maintains a state that the braking of the drive shafts is released while executing on/off-control for repeatedly turning on and off the application of voltages to excitation coils 21c to 26c of the electromagnetic brakes 21b to 26b. The CPU 30 maintains the on-state of the voltage application over a prescribed period of time in an initial stage of a period that the braking of the drive shafts is released.

Abstract: The invention discloses an exciting circuit for an electromagnetic brake of an elevator, comprising a control circuit for controlling the electromagnetic brake of the elevator to attract and open, a sampling feedback circuit, a zero-crossing trigger circuit, a timing circuit, a reference voltage circuit and an auxiliary power circuit supplying power. The control end of the control circuit is connected with the output end of the zero-crossing trigger circuit; the output end of the control circuit is connected with the electromagnetic brake of the elevator and one input end of the sampling feedback circuit; the other input end of the sampling feedback circuit is connected with the reference voltage circuit; the output end of the sampling feedback circuit is connected with the signal end of the zero-crossing trigger circuit; and the control end of the zero-crossing trigger circuit is connected with the timing circuit. The exciting circuit has the advantages that the structure is simple, a principle that a zero-crossing trigger is started by high voltage is utilized, the working voltage of the electromagnetic brake is automatically reduced, the effects of reducing energy consumption and cooling the electromagnetic brake are provided, physical line connecting materials can be saved, a negative feedback model is adopted to reduce interference caused by power network voltage fluctuation, and the safety, reliability and stability of elevator operation can be improved.

Abstract: A discharge circuit of a magnetic brake is applied to the magnetic brake which is extensively used on various cranes, winches, windlasses and other electric devices in industrial fields. The traditional contactor discharge circuit is improved into a non-contact fast discharge circuit. The discharge circuit is characterized in that the discharge circuit adopts a high voltage diode, a discharge resistance and a voltage dependent resistor; the discharge circuit can be directly connected with the positive end and the negative end of the direct current of the magnetic brake in parallel; peak overvoltage which is generated when magnetic coil is power off can be absorbed effectively; the insulation of the magnetic coil can be protected effectively and can not be damaged; the service life of the magnetic coil is prolonged and the running reliability of the device is improved.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for detecting a malfunction occurring in an electromagnetic brake of a robot. In the apparatus, the main relay and the sub-relay are controlled to open the main contact and the sub-contact when the robot is activated. Detecting is then made whether or not the main contact is malfunctioning, by monitoring an energized state of the main contact. Activation of the robot is stopped when the main contact is malfunctioning and the main relay is controlled to close the main contact for a given period of time when that the main contact is operating normally. Detecting is further made as to whether or not the sub-contact is malfunctioning, by monitoring an energized state of the sub-contact The activation of the robot is stopped when the sub-contact is malfunctioning and the main relay is controlled to close the main contact when the sub-contact is operating normally.

Abstract: The utility model relates to an electromagnetic brake for an electric vehicle, in particular to a special brake component for the electric vehicle. The utility model adopts the technical scheme as follows: a brake block and an actuating plate are arranged on a bottom plate in sequence; a fixed seat is fastened with the bottom plate; a spring guide pillar is arranged on the fixed seat; a spring is sleeved on the spring guide pillar; the fixed seat is connected with the bottom plate through a clearance tube; a coil is arranged on the fixed seat; and a connector is fixed on the axis of a rotor. The utility model is characterized in that a penetration aperture is formed at the outer wall edge of the connector, a rubber strip is arranged in the aperture, the periphery of the rubber strip slightly protrudes out of the outer wall of the connector, and the connector has the same height as the rubber strip. The utility model has the following advantages: the structure is simple, compact and reasonable; and when the brake is electrified in the non-braking state, the connector drives the brake block to rotate, and meanwhile the rubber strip generates the buffer action between the connector and the brake block and absorbs the most vibrations, thereby solving the problem that abnormal sounds generated in low or high speed rotations causes rotation noises.

SOLUTION: At least two electromagnetic brakes 4, each of which includes a brake disc 5, a stationary braking plate 6, a movable braking plate 7, a spring 8 for brake operation and an electromagnetic coil 9 for brake release, are independently disposed in parallel in the axial direction C of a motor shaft 2. The electromagnetic brake device 3 for a motor is constructed by connecting respective electromagnetic coils 9, 9 to a power supply 12 so that a direction in which a leakage flux A from one electromagnetic coil 9 flows and a direction in which a leakage flux B from the other electromagnetic coil 9 flows are opposite to each other, relative to a bearing 11 composed of a magnetic material supported on a motor shaft 2 at a proximity position of the electromagnetic brake 4, upon concurrently energizing the electromagnetic coils 9, 9 mounted independently of each other. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detecting device of an elevator brake, enhanced in safety by quantitatively determining whether or not the braking force of an electromagnetic brake is appropriate. SOLUTION: This device includes: a load cell 19 detecting a restoring force of a brake spring 13, between the brake spring 13 biasing a brake arm 10 attached with a brake shoe 9 toward a brake wheel 8 side and a spring seat 17 retaining the brake spring 13 in a compression deformed state; and an abnormality detecting section 5c determining whether or not the braking force of the electromagnetic brake 4 is out of a predetermined normal range based on the output of the load cell 19. The abnormality detecting section 5c outputs abnormality detection signals to a monitoring center 23, if the braking force of the electromagnetic brake 4 is out of the normal range. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the relation between inside windings and outside windings in a coil device usable for both an electromagnetic stirring and an electromagnetic brake. SOLUTION: Disclosed is an electromagnetic coil device for continuous casting to steel where direct current or alternating current having three or more phases is made to flow through an electromagnetic coil, and an electromagnetic brake or an electromagnetic stirring is selectively acted on molten steel. In the electromagnetic coil, two teeth parts 1aa are projectingly provided from a yoke part 1ab. Outside windings 1c are applied to the further outsides of the two teeth parts 1aa with inside windings 1b applied thereto. In the case the sufficient number of inside windings 1b can be wound, the number of the outside windings 1c is made equal to that of the inside windings 1b. In the case the number of the inside windings 1b is insufficient, the number of the outside windings 1c is made larger than that of the inside windings 1b and is also controlled to ≤2.5 times. The electromagnetic coils are arranged by n pieces (n is a natural number of ≥2) per long side 1a, and a core part 1a is arranged in the range of a slab drawing direction including the discharge hole of an immersion nozzle 4 from a meniscus position. When the electromagnetic coils are electrified, a moving iron core is absorbed to deflect leftwards, a left brake shoe is separated from a brake wheel, and a right brake shoe is driven to separate from the brake wheel, thereby opening the brake, whereas, when the electromagnetic coils are cut off, the long brake arm are pushed to deflect rightward by a brake spring, thereby realizing the contracting brake. The direct current short-stroke electromagnetic brake has the characteristics of simple structure and quick movement.

Abstract: FIELD: shipping building industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to shipping building industry and deals with building of ship propellers for spatial movement of objects on surface or inside fluid medium, and providing controllability of objects. Rudder propeller consists of a shaftless propeller-bladed propulsion device and rotary mechanism of blade rotation plane. The latter comprises two electric motors with built-in electromagnetic brakes and external gears which are engaged with a spiral cone-type wheel whereto there rigidly attached is supporting frame of electromagnetic propeller-bladed propulsion device, which at the same time serves as propeller shrouding. That electromagnetic propulsion device is three-phase and synchronous, and is excited from constant magnets located in propeller blades. The casing of electromagnetic propulsion device consists of interleaved ferromagnetic core of stator with three-phase winding. Interleaved ferromagnetic core of rotor with short-circuit starting winding is arranged along radial direction inside stator core at the distance of air gap therefrom. ^ EFFECT: invention simplifies rudder propeller design, reduces power required for its operation, and improves maneuverability of movement and economy of useful energy conversion. ^ 2 dwg
