Abstract: Optical activation of fluidic devices provides an alternative to electrical controls offering immunity to electromagnetic interference and potential weight savings. An optical-to-mechanical signal converter known as an opto-fluidic interface (OFI) was previously developed, and operated, as a pneumatic device. The OFI, which is a modified fluidic laminar proportional amplifier, employs laser-induced deflection of the power supply jet to implement the opto-mechanical signal conversion process. The opto-hydraulic interface (OHI) uses the same operating principle as the OFI except the operating fluid is 5606 hydraulic oil. The opto-hydraulic gain was measured to be 44 kPa per watt of input optical power. Additionally, a bandwidth of 145 Hz was obtainable using an operating pressure of 690 kPa (100 psi).

Abstract: This invention distinguishes itself by making use of the wall-adhevence effect of fluidics. It equips a uessel with a complete fluidics layer so as to change the boundary condition for the by passing current, and to eliminate the resistance of the by-passing current. It uses the magnetic fluid principle or 2-phase flow principle to eliminate the fluidics resistance. The surface fluidics layers flow together at the vessel tail, and the pressure gets higher, Thus supply the vessel with a pushing and rising force. This invention is applicable to the improvement of ships, warships, submarines, and to the manufacture of new kinds of high-speed transports which can travel either in water, in sky or in space, suspend in the air, take off and land vertically, and turn flexibly.

Abstract: The utility model relates to a fluidic device for a magnetic fluid body, which is used for oxygenation and chemical reaction and has the double functions of magnetization and fluid jet. When the fluid body passes through the device, the molecular structure of the fluid body magnetized by an intense magnetic field can be changed, ions are deformed, and thus, the physical and the chemical properties of the fluid body, such as solubility, osmotic pressure, oxygen content, etc., are changed. Under the action of jet, the magnetized fluid body is cut into ultramicro air bubbles and liquid bubbles, and thus, the dynamic efficiency of mass transfer and the dynamic efficiency of reaction are raised. The utility model is an energy-saving and efficient device, and can be used for the treatment of wastewater and exhaust gas, the action of two substances, etc. The utility model has the advantages of simple structure, convenient maintenance and management, low fabricating cost, etc.

Abstract: This paper is to report an experimental result of refrigerant distributor making use of fluidics in refrigeration cycle with two evaporators. In the problem of refrigerant distributor making use of fluidics, controlling characteristic depends on the pressure drop of evaporator which is connected with output port of fluidics. Therefore, we have studied critical pressure drop of evaporator in condition to keep controlling characteristic. As a result of experiment, we have found that fluidics will be able to be use for refrigerant distributor in refrigeration cycle.
