TL;DR: In this paper, a pipe coupling socket with a resilient sealing ring and a blocking ring is described. But it is not shown how to fit the blocking ring to the locking ring in order to prevent it from collapsing under test pressure.
Abstract: 1,133,412. Pipe coupling. HEPWORTH IRON CO. Ltd. 10 June, 1967, No. 26892/67. Heading F2G. In a pipe coupling socket 1 of the kind which is moulded from "rigid" plastic material to form an enlargement 2-5 at an end of a portion- 13 of the same diameter as a pipe 11 to be coupled to it, which portion may itself be a pipe length or have another socket at its other end, and the end of which is inturned at 6 to form a recess receiving a resilient sealing ring 7 held in place by an incompressible locking ring 8, an incompressible blocking ring 12 which may be either separate from or, as shown in Fig. 1, integral with the locking ring is arranged between the locking ring and the lip to prevent expulsion of the sealing ring under test pressures. Where e.g. as in Fig. 4, the inturned lip 6C is inclined and is more liable to expand under high pressure, the blocking ring 12C, here shown as a separate ring, is thicker and has a correspondingly inclined face engaging the lip. A similar blocking ring (12B, Fig. 3, not shown) may be integrally joined to the locking ring by a thin cylindrical section (15) or a blocking ring (12A, Fig. 2, not shown), having oppositely inclined faces one of which engages the lip and the other of which is joined by a narrow neck (14) to the locking ring may be used. The sealing ring, which is e.g. of natural or synthetic rubber, is suitably sectioned to fill the remainder of the recess and is provided with either a ribbed sealing portion 9, Fig. 1, or a rounded flange-like sealing portion 9A, Fig. 4, for sealing engagement between the inserted end of the pipe 11 and the cylindrical portion 3 of the socket when the pipe 11 is fully inserted. Suitable materials for the socket, locking ring and blocking ring are modified or unmodified "rigid" polyvinyl chloride, polycarbonate, polyacetal, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, and polypropylene.

TL;DR: In this article, a tubular plug is threadably received in an insert fixed in an opening defined by a separating wall, and access to the plug is provided through a dispensing opening in the upper or second chamber.
Abstract: A flexible walled container has first and second integrally formed chambers arranged one above the other, with an integrally formed separating wall therebetween. A tubular plug is threadably received in an insert fixed in an opening defined by said separating wall, and access to the plug is provided through a dispensing opening in the upper or second chamber. The plug carries a tube or conduit through which liquid can be forced by squeezing the lower or first chamber defining portion, and the plug has a laterally open passageway for directing the liquid toward the side of the second chamber to permit filling of the latter to a desired level after which the container can be inverted to dispense only that liquid in said second chamber.

TL;DR: In this article, the complete integral closure of an integral domain with quotient field K was studied and it was shown that the set D* of elements of K almost integral over D is the set of elements that are completely integrally closed if D* = D.
Abstract: This paper continues an investigation of the complete integral closure of an integral domain which was begun in [2]. We recall that if D is an integral domain with quotient field K then an element x of K is said to be almost integral over D if there exists a nonzero element y of D such that yxn is an element of D for each positive integer n. The set D* of elements of K almost integral over D is called the complete integral closure of D and D is said to be completely integrally closed if D* = D.

TL;DR: In this paper, a register casing containing a fluid flow register mechanism is detachably fixed to the meter body and has a bottom wall part covering the open end of the chamber, which is further integrally formed with a flange extending radially from its axially extending end portion so that the wall part may be secured in place by clamping the flange between the meter and a separately formed cover part of the casing.
Abstract: A fluid flow meter having a recessed body defining a fluid measuring chamber which is open at one end and which rotatably receives a fluid driven metering rotor. A register casing containing a fluid flow register mechanism is detachably fixed to the meter body and has a bottom wall part covering the open end of the chamber. Drive magnets and follower elements respectively disposed within the chamber and the casing on opposite sides of the casing bottom wall part transmit rotation of the rotor to actuate the register mechanism. The bottom wall part is interiorly concavely contoured so that its peripheral end portion extends essentially axially and terminates in an axially directed annular edge surface on which a structure, which mounts the register mechanism, is supportingly seated. The bottom wall part is further integrally formed with a flange extending radially from its axially extending end portion so that the wall part may be secured in place by clamping the flange between the meter body and a separately formed cover part of the casing. Concentric embossments formed integral with the bottom wall part define concentric wells opening in axially opposite directions respectively into the chamber and into the interior of the casing and respectively receiving the drive magnets and driven elements. The rotor is molded as one piece with an internal protrusion that forms a thrust bearing surface for a rotor support shaft extending into the rotor hub. A meter calibrating member selectively and transversely displaceably into an accurately diametered orifice at the inlet port for the measuring chamber provides an adjustment for meter registration.

TL;DR: In this paper, an elastomeric diaphragm in the form of a tube closed at one end by an integrally formed wall is described, and the other end of the tube is covered by an end member to form a container for system fluid.
Abstract: This invention relates to pressure peak suppressors of the accumulator type for fluid pressure systems. The embodiment illustrated employs an elastomeric diaphragm in the form of a tube closed at one end by an integrally formed wall. The other end of the tube is covered by an end member to form a container for system fluid. Communication to the interior of the tube, or container, is afforded through an orifice in the end member. The diaphragm part of the container is arranged so that the incremental pressure required to deform it increases with the degree of its deformation. The end member is arranged so that less resistance is offered to flow out of the container. The diaphragm has uniform wall thickness over the length of its tubular section but the diameter of its central opening diminishes along its length. In the end member, the orifice increases in cross-sectional area in the direction from the interior to the exterior of the tube. The whole container is disposed within an outer housing or container.
