Abstract: During the past several years, substantial progress has been reported in understanding the receptors and signal transduction processes for the peptidyl leukotriene (Crooke et al.,1987). Studies in our labortory have identified and characterized the receptors and the major steps in the signal transduction process. These studies have allowed us to propose a model explaining the interactions in LTD4 with its receptors and the events that are induced by these interactions (Fig. 1).
