Abstract: The invention relates to a process for utilising coke oven gas, the excess hydrogen with respect to subsequent methanation being separated off from the coke oven gas and the coke oven gas thus adjusted with respect to the H2/CO ratio being converted into synthetic natural gas by methanation.
