Abstract: HVDC load breakers using AC circuit breakers combined with parallel circuits are proposed. The choice of parallel circuitry depends upon the kind of AC circuit breaker used. When using non linear (temperature dependent) resistors great improvements can be achieved in counter voltage generating and energy absorbing capabilities, as compared to earlier circuits using commutating capacitors and silicon carbide resistors. Switching units and suitable bypasses are investigated in details. Test circuits for testing the commutating switches and for testing the complete HVDC load breaker are also treated.

TL;DR: A random access memory cell comprises three capacitance means and three field effect transistors as discussed by the authors, one of which is a pseudo-transistor which is embodied in the cell to principally provide means for refreshing the cell.
Abstract: A random access memory cell comprises three capacitance means and three field effect transistors. One capacitance means is a pseudo-transistor which is embodied in the cell to principally provide means for refreshing the cell. One transistor has an alterable threshold and is embodied in the cell to store information at ''''power down''''.

TL;DR: The paper describes several circuits, which include subsystems switched with alternating polarity, for a high-power oscillator, for power-factor control by means of a switched coil, and for load-power regulation by meansof a switched capacitor.
Abstract: The paper describes several circuits, which include subsystems switched with alternating polarity. Practical applications are shown. The analysis of such circuits is presented in a companion paper (Proc. IEE, 1974, 121, (2), pp.(88–90). The circuits considered in the paper are for a high-power oscillator, for power-factor control by means of a switched coil, and for load-power regulation by means of a switched capacitor.

TL;DR: In this paper, a voltage-controlled free-running multivibrator is described, which is made of two bistable regenerative switches connected by a single timing capacitor and provides rectangular output waveforms of very short rise and fall times over a wide range.
Abstract: A voltage-controlled free-running multivibrator is described. In the new circuit use is made of two bistable regenerative switches connected by a single timing capacitor to realize an astable multivibrator. The circuit provides rectangular output waveforms of very short rise and fall times over a wide range. Low output impedance of the regenerative switches permits driving large resistive and capacitive loads. Among other features of the circuit are the facility of logarithmic or linear variations of frequency by a modulating control voltage, its sure-starting nature, and its integrability.

TL;DR: An automatic exposure circuit for a TTL camera as discussed by the authors includes an integrating circuit having a capacitor and a light-sensitive resistor connected in series to a source of potential, and the time taken to charge the capacitor, a function of scene illumination, in turn determines the magnitude of the charge stored, or "memorized," in a second capacitor in a memory circuit.
Abstract: An automatic exposure circuit for a TTL camera. The circuit includes an integrating circuit having a capacitor and a light-sensitive resistor connected in series to a source of potential. The time taken to charge the capacitor, a function of scene illumination, in turn determines the magnitude of the charge stored, or "memorized," in a second capacitor in a memory circuit. Actuation of the shutter release starts the charging of a third capacitor in an exposure control circuit and when the voltage across the third capacitor equals the potential "memorized" in the second capacitor, the shutter blades are permitted to close. In other embodiments of the invention, light-sensitive resistors are included in the charging circuits of the second and third capacitors to compensate for any change in scene illumination which might occur after the shutter release mechanism is depressed.
