TL;DR: The taxonomic status of the anoplocephalid cestode parasites of Australian marsupials is reviewed, and a host-parasite list forAnoplocephalids of Australian diprotodont mars upials is given.
Abstract: The taxonomic status of the anoplocephalid cestode parasites of Australian marsupials is reviewed. All are referred to the family Anoplocephalidae Kholodkovskii, 1902, five genera occurring in the subfamily Anoplocephalinae Blanchard, 1891, and one genus in a new subfamily, Triplotaeniinae. The species Bertiella aberrata Nybelin, 1917; B. undulata Nybelin, 1917; B. pseudochiri Nybelin, 1917; B. pellucida Nybeiin, 1917; B. obesa (Zschokke, 18983; and B. trichosuri Khail, 1910, are redescribed, and to them are added B. petaurina, sp. nov., B. foederata, sp. nov., and B. mawsonae, sp. nov. The genus Parabertiella Nybelin, 1917, with its single species P. campanulata Nybelin, 1917, is upheld and redescribed. The species Progamotaenia bancrofti Johnston, 1912; P. diaphana (Zschokke, 1907); P. ewersi (Schmidt, 1975); P. festiva (Rudolphi, 1819); P. lagorchestis (Lewis, 1914); and P. zschokkei (Janicki, 1906) are redescribed and to them are added P. macropodis, sp. nov., P. aepyprymni, sp. nov., and P. effigia, sp. nov. Fuhrmannodes proterogyna (Fuhrmann, 1933) is redescribed and the genus reduced to a synonym of Progamotaenia. Fuhrmannodes talboti Schmidt, 1975, becomes a synonym of P. proterogyna. Cittotaenia villosa Lewis, 1914, is also redescribed and placed within the genus Progamotaenia. Phascolotaenia comani, gen. et sp. nov., is described and the genus defined. The genus Paramoniezia Mapleston A Southwell, 1923, is redefined and Paramoniezia johnstoni, sp. nov., referred to it. The validity of Triplotaenia mirabilis Boas, 1902, is established and the genus referred to a new subfamily, Triplotaeniinae. Two further species T. fimbriata, sp. nov., and T. undosa, sp. nov., are added to the genus. Keys to the described species are provided. The evolution of the Australian anoplocephalids is discussed with reference to previously published hypotheses. A host-parasite list for anoplocephalids of Australian diprotodont marsupials is given.

TL;DR: The Philippine cruise of the U.S. Fisheries Steamer Albatross 1907–10 collected 61 species of spider crabs from the Philippine Islands bringing the total number of species known from the area to 71; 28 new species were described by Rathbun and the present report records 19 species not previously known fromthe area.
Abstract: Summary The Philippine cruise of the U.S. Fisheries Steamer Albatross 1907–10 collected 61 species of spider crabs from the Philippine Islands bringing the total number of species known from the area to 71; 28 new species were described by Rathbun and the present report records 19 species not previously known from the area; included are nine widespread Indo-west Pacific forms, four previously known from Japan and four Indian Ocean species. Hyastenus sebae White is renamed H. whitei and the former name is applied to H. oryx A. Milne Edwards. Hyastenus tuberculosus Rathbun is confirmed as a synonym of H. convexus Miers, Platymaia remifera Rathbun is reduced to synonomy with P. wyvillethomsoni Miers and Chorilia sphenocarcinoides Rathbun is transferred to the genus Sphenocarcinus. The majority of species (51) occur around the central and southern islands of the archipelago and most of these (35 speciesl occur at varying depths on the continental shelf. Twelve species occur intertidally and 21 species are kno...

TL;DR: The status of the genus Paradiscina Benedix (Pezizales) was studied by examining the holotype of the type species of that genus, Discina melaleuca Bres, and it was concluded that it is a typical member of the family Helvellacea e Dum and becomes a synonym of the older generic name Gyromitra.
Abstract: HARMAJA, H. 1976: Paradiscina Benedixa synonym of Gyromitra Fr.Karstenia 15: 3335 . The status of the genus Paradiscina Benedix (Pezizales) was studied by examining the holotype of the type species of that genus, Discina melaleuca Bres. The type specimen of that species has spores with four nuclei and a persistent strongly cyanophilic perisporium as well as excipulum of the Gyromitra type. It is concluded that Discina melaleuca (1) is a typical member of the family Helvellacea e Dum., (2) belongs to the genus Gyromitra Fr. sensu HARMAJA 1973 and (3) is a valid species. Consequently , Paradiscina becomes a synonym of the older generic name Gyromitra. The results of the study necessitate the transfer of D. melaleuca to Gyromitra, and the following new combination is made : Gyromitra melaleuca (Bres.) Harmaja. A note on the exc ipular anatomy of Gyro mitra is also given . The family Rhizinaceae Bon. is included in Helvellaceae.

Abstract: It is proved that Enderlein's establishing of a separate genus (Deropria) for Aphanarthrum elongatum Eggers was most well-founded. Aphanarthrum canariense longipes Israelson is a younger synonym of A. neglectum Schedl which is considered to be a subspecies of canariense Wollaston. The identity of A. armatum Wollaston has been confirmed by genital examination. The Morocco population of the polymorphous A. bicinctum Wollaston s. lat. belongs to the nominate race, i.e. that of the nearest islands of the Canarian Archipelago.

TL;DR: Larvae of A. birulai from Lumbriculus variegatus and A. brachyphallos from Stylodrilus sp.
Abstract: Larvae of A. birulai from Lumbriculus variegatus and A. brachyphallos from Stylodrilus sp. from the Chauna lowland (Chukotka) are described. The species belonging of the larvae was proved experimentally. It was shown that Cysticercus sp. Hrabe, 1958 is a larvacyst of A. birulai. For larvacysts of A. birulai type the name of "floricerk" was suggested and for those of A. brachyphallos type--the name "tailed diplocyst". It is noted that A. uelcal Spassky et Jurpalova, 1968 is a synonym of A. brachyphallos (Krabbe, 1869) nec A. brachyphallos sensu Davies, 1938.

TL;DR: It is shown here that C. deceptiva is a synonym of C. punctipennis, and that the Australian and New Zealand populations have almost certainly been introduced by human agency during the present century.
Abstract: Craspedochaeta deceptiva (Malloch, 1921), a species recorded only from Australia and New Zealand, was considered by Malloch to be closely related to C. punctipennis (Wiedemann, 1830), a species from southern South America, and by Hennig to show a close resemblance to punctipenis due to symplesiomorphy. It is shown here that C. deceptiva is a synonym of C. punctipennis, and that the Australian and New Zealand populations have almost certainly been introduced by human agency during the present century.
