X-ray analysis of the structural and dynamic properties of BaFe12O19 hexagonal ferrite at room temperature

TL;DR: In this article, the room temperature structure of BaFe12O19 hexagonal ferrite has been refined from X-ray single crystal data, and three different models are considered for the structural and dynamic characteristics of the bipyramidal Fe ions: (1) a nondisordered configuration, (2) a static disorder between two adjacent pseudotetrahedral sites, and (3) a dynamical disorder between these sites.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthèse et caractérisation d'une série de titanates pérowskites isotypes de [CaCu3](Mn4)O12

TL;DR: A series of titanates with perovskite-like arrangements and isostructural with [CaCu3](Mn4)O12 have been synthesized as discussed by the authors, where the total charge of the A sites can be modified by substituting the Ca2+ cations with monovalent ones and the tetravalent manganese cations of the B sites by a mixture of (Ti4+ + M5+) in which M = Ta, Nb, Sb, or (2) by a combination of cations plus vacancies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal structure of strontium hexaferrite SrFe12O19

TL;DR: The room temperature structure of SrFe/sub 12/O/sub 19/ hexagonal ferrite has been refined from X-ray single-crystal data in this article, where structural isomorphism of the title compound with the hexagonal Ferrite BaFe/s 12 O/s 19/ has been demonstrated, corroborating that the bipyramidal Fe ions have a fast diffusional motion within a quasiharmonic double-well potential as in BaFe
Journal ArticleDOI

Neutron diffraction studies of some hexagonal ferrites: BaFe12O19, BaMg2W and BaCo2W

TL;DR: In this paper, the collinear Gorter model was used to determine the Mg 2+ and Co 2+ locations among the seven sublattices of the W-type structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and crystal structure of (ThCu3)(Mn3+2Mn4+2)O12, a new ferrimagnetic perovskite-like compound

TL;DR: In this article, single crystals of [ThCu3](Mn3+2Mn4+2]O12, a ferrimagnetic perovskite-like compound, were synthesized by hydrothermal conditions at 600°C and 2 kbar.
