WHO Study on the reliability and validity of the alcohol and drug use disorder instruments: overview of methods and results
Bedirhan Üstün,Wilson M. Compton,Doug E. Mager,Thomas F. Babor,O. Baiyewu,Somnath Chatterji,Linda B. Cottler,A. Gögüs,V. Mavreas,Lorna Peters,Charles B. Pull,John B. Saunders,R. Smeets,M. R. Stipec,Radu Vrasti,Deborah S. Hasin,Robin Room,W. van den Brink,Darrel A. Regier,Jack Blaine,Bridget F. Grant,Norman Sartorius +21 more
TL;DR: Results have yielded useful information on reliability and validity of these instruments at diagnosis, criteria and question level, and the diagnostic concordance coefficients were very good for dependence disorders, but were somewhat lower for the abuse and harmful use categories.
Journal ArticleDOI
A double-blind controlled study of adjunctive treatment with risperidone in schizophrenic patients partially responsive to clozapine: efficacy and safety.
A. Elif Anıl Yağcıoğlu,Berna Binnur Akdede,Tolga I Turgut,Mevhibe Tumuklu,M. Kâzım Yazıcı,Köksal Alptekin,Aygun Ertugrul,Karu Jayathilake,A. Gögüs,Zeliha Tunca,Herbert Y. Meltzer +10 more
TL;DR: Adjunctive risperidone treatment in schizophrenia patients partially responsive to clozapine does not significantly improve psychopathology or quality of life compared to placebo in a 6-week period.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formulation and in vitro-in vivo evaluation of buccoadhesive morphine sulfate tablets.
TL;DR: Interpolymer complex formation was confirmed between HPMC and CP in acidic medium by turbidity, viscosity, and FT-IR measurements, and the weakest adhesion force was observed at a ratio of 1:1 (HPMC:CP).
Journal ArticleDOI
Neurological soft signs in schizophrenic patients and their nonpsychotic siblings.
TL;DR: The results support the findings of previous studies suggesting that there might be common genetic and/or environmental factors in the pathogenesis of neurological impairment in schizophrenic patients and their siblings and indicate that neurological soft signs in schizophrenia patients are associated with prominent negative symptoms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Test-retest reliability of the alcohol and drug use disorder sections of the schedules for clinical assessment in neuropsychiatry (SCAN)
Caroline J. Easton,Eduardo Meza,Douglas E. Mager,Berna Uluğ,Cengiz Kılıç,A. Gögüs,Thomas F. Babor +6 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that SCAN alcohol and drug diagnosis have good to excellent levels of reliability for dependence across different substances, different diagnostic systems, and different cultural groups.
