Journal ArticleDOI

Polymerized rosin: novel film forming polymer for drug delivery.

TL;DR: Hydrophobic plasticizers, dibutyl sebacate and tributyl citrate, improved the mechanical properties of free films with both the plasticizers showing significant effects on film elongation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Liposomes as a carrier for oral administration of insulin: Effect of formulation factors

TL;DR: The present work was undertaken to study the effect of liposome formulation factors on its efficiency as a carrier for oral administration of insulin and found that the insulin-liposomes when administered orally could produce hypoglycaemia.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rosin derivatives: novel film forming materials for controlled drug delivery

TL;DR: In this article, two new rosin derivatives (RD-1 and RD-2) were synthesized in the laboratory and evaluated for physicochemical properties, molecular weight (M w ), polydispersity ( M w / M n ), and glass transition temperature (T g ).
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of Rosin and Rosin esters as coating materials

TL;DR: In this article, aspirin granules were coated with solution of Rosin and Rosin esters in acetone, and the results showed that rosin-coated granules release less than 10% drug in gastric media in 3 days and more than 75% drug within 15 min in intestinal media.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanoparticles - a colloidal drug delivery system for primaquine and metronidazole.

TL;DR: Albumin nanoparticles produced by denaturation at high temperature and gelatin nanoparticles prepared by a combined emulsification and congealing procedure are promising carriers for primaquine and metronidazole.
