Journal ArticleDOI

Does PGD for aneuploidy screening change the selection of embryos derived from testicular sperm extraction in obstructive and non-obstructive azoospermic men?

TL;DR: The results suggest that under the terms of an SET policy, the performance of PGD-AS in azoospermia would result in a higher chance of success, as the possibility of selecting a euploid embryo is enhanced.
Journal ArticleDOI

Relationship between serum follicle stimulating hormone in the male and standard sperm parameters, and the results of intracytoplasmic sperm injection.

TL;DR: There was an inverse correlation with sperm concentration and total motility but no relationship was found with progressive motility and sperm morphology, and neither was any relationship found between serum FSH and fertilization, cleavage, pregnancy and implantation rates, and the results of ICSI.
Journal ArticleDOI

Outcome of Pregnancies After Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection and the Effect of Sperm Origin and Quality of This Outcome

TL;DR: The rates of multiple pregnancies, preterm deliveries, low birth weight, and early perinatal mortality were higher after ICSI than after natural conception.
Journal ArticleDOI

An auto-controlled study in in-vitro fertilization reveals the benefit of Percoll centrifugation to swim-up in the preparation of poor-quality semen.

TL;DR: The efficiency of spermatozoa prepared by swim-up or by Percoll centrifugation was assessed in an in-vitro fertilization programme on 71 semen samples of a well-defined quality and both selection procedures resulted in a significantly higher percentage motility as compared to fresh semen.
Journal ArticleDOI

HLA-matched embryos selected for siblings requiring haematopoietic stem cell transplantation: a psychological perspective

TL;DR: The motivation of four couples, the consequences of the treatment on the welfare of the future donor child and the validity of the arguments will be checked against the experience of the actual cases.
