Synthesis of silver nanoparticles using Fagonia cretica and their antimicrobial activities

TL;DR: In this article, an efficient bioreducing agent from Fagonia cretica extract was used to synthesize silver nanoparticles (NPs) with the advantage of eco-friendliness over chemical and physical methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phytotoxic Evaluation of Phytosynthesized Silver Nanoparticles on Lettuce

TL;DR: In this paper, Lactuca sativa L. (lettuce) seedlings were exposed hydroponically to different concentrations of silver ions and nanoparticles (Ag NPs) for 25 days to evaluate their impact on plant growth.
Journal ArticleDOI

Visualization Framework for High-Dimensional Spatio-Temporal Hydrological Gridded Datasets using Machine-Learning Techniques

Abeer Mazher
- 21 Feb 2020 -
TL;DR: A generic workflow to project high-dimensional spatio-temporal data on a two-dimensional (2D) plane accurately and compare dimensionality reduction techniques (DRTs) in terms of resolution and computational efficiency to represent 2D projection spatially using a 2D perceptually uniform background color map is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Willingness to Pay for Improved Water Services in Mining Regions of Developing Economies: Case Study of a Coal Mining Project in Thar Coalfield, Pakistan

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the household willingness to pay (WTP) for all major uses based on hypothetical policy scenarios and found that the mean WTP was estimated to be PKR 3921 (USD 38) for risk averting services and PKR 4927 (USD 48.13) for domestic pipelines and more decentralized water systems per month.
