Design of boronic acid-attributed carbon dots on inhibits HIV-1 entry

TL;DR: In this article, carbon dot nanoparticles are used to prevent HIV-1 infection via interaction with gp120 and subsequent elimination of target cell interaction, where carbon dots (diameter: ∼2 nm) exhibiting a graphene-like structure were prepared by pyrolysis of citric acid and further associated with boronic acid containing molecules.
Journal ArticleDOI

HIV-1 transmitted drug resistance mutations among antiretroviral therapy-Naïve individuals in Surabaya, Indonesia

TL;DR: The prevalence of transmitted drug resistance was below 5%, indicating that the currently available first-line regimen is still effective in Surabaya, Indonesia and that continuous surveillance is required in order to detect the emergence of TDR in the early phase.
Journal ArticleDOI

Detection and prevalence of multidrug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae strains isolated from poultry farms in Blitar, Indonesia

TL;DR: This study confirmed that the percentage of resistant isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae from 5 antimicrobial agents of broiler chicken are higher than layer chicken, indicating the presence of multidrug-resistant bacteria is a threat to public health and livestock.
Journal ArticleDOI

Short Communication: The presence of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) producing Escherichia coli on layer chicken farms in Blitar Area, Indonesia

TL;DR: Results in this study indicated that layer chicken has potential as reservoir for spreading ESBL to public health and needs strict hygienic measures to prevent their transmission to humans.
Journal ArticleDOI

Short Communication: Pattern of antibiotic resistance on extended-spectrum beta-lactamases genes producing Escherichia coli on laying hens in Blitar, Indonesia

TL;DR: The results indicated that poultry is a potential reservoir for ESBLproducing E. coli in poultry and strengthening antibiotic policy is needed because the regulation of antibiotic use in poultry is gaining momentum to increase animal productivity and food safety.
