Journal ArticleDOI
Inter-islands optical link tests
TL;DR: In this article, an atmospheric near-infrared semiconductor laser link was set up between two mountain peaks 143.5 km apart located in two islands in the Canarian Archipelago.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Engineering of a water-vapour, Raman, elastic-backscatter Lidar at the Technical University of Catalonia (Spain)
Dhiraj Kumar,Michaël Sicard,Sergio Tomás,Constantino Munoz,Francesc Rocadenbosch,Adolfo Comerón +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the pure-vibrational Raman spectra lidar method is used for simultaneous measurements of atmospheric water-vapour, aerosol extinction and backscatter coefficients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synergy of Raman Lidar and Modeled Temperature for Relative Humidity Profiling: Assessment and Uncertainty Analysis
Constantino Muñoz-Porcar,Michaël Sicard,María José Granados-Muñoz,Ruben Barragan,Adolfo Comerón,Francesc Rocadenbosch,Alejandro Rodríguez-Gómez,David Garcia-Vizcaino +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that this method permits nocturnal lidar-based RH profiling with uncertainty estimation without the need for measured atmospheric profiles, and the resulting uncertainty is compatible with the statistical analysis of the model and comparable with the ones obtained using other instruments for temperature profiling.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
EARLINET-ASOS : programs and perspectives for the aerosol study on continental scale
Gelsomina Pappalardo,Jens Bösenberg,Aldo Amodeo,Albert Ansmann,Arnoud Apituley,Lucas Alados Arboledas,Dimitris Balis,Christine Böckmann,Anatoly Chaikovsky,Adolfo Comerón,Volker Freudenthaler,Georg Hansen,Valentin Mitev,Doina Nicolae,Alexandros Papayannis,Maria Rita Perrone,Aleksander Pietruczuk,Manuel Pujadas,Jean-Philippe Putaud,François Ravetta,Vincenzo Rizi,Valentin Simeonov,Nicola Spinelli,Dimitar Stoyanov,Thomas Trickl,Matthias Wiegner +25 more
TL;DR: The EARLINET-ASOS (Advanced Sustainable Observation System) EC Project as mentioned in this paper aims to provide a comprehensive, quantitative, and statistically significant data base for the aerosol distribution on a continental scale.
