Polisher density into Preston equation
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that fdr depends on relative velocity, v, and concentration, ρ, of the polisher suspension, and therefore the Preston equation has to be modified i.e. h = h(ffr(v), ρ).
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison between toroidal and conic surfaces that best fit an off-axis conic section.
Octavio Cardona-Nunez,Alejandro Cornejo-Rodriguez,Rufino Díaz-Uribe,Alberto Cordero-Dávila,J. Pedraza-Contreras +4 more
TL;DR: A mathematical treatment is developed to establish the difference in the sagitta between toroidal and off-axis conic surfaces, and the best fit is found by optimizing the curvatures of the toroid.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polynomial fitting of interferograms with Gaussian errors on the fringe coordinates. II: Analytical study.
TL;DR: An ideal Twyman-Green interferogram with equally spaced straight fringes parallel to the x axis and fringe coordinates that are affected by Gaussian errors is considered and it is shown that deviation increases with the noise level and decreases with the number of fringes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Least-squares estimators for the center and radius of circular patterns
TL;DR: Applying the least-squares methods to data points of a pattern border, the center and radius of a circular pattern is estimated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analytical and numerical classification of wear profiles produced with different-shape oscillating tools
TL;DR: In this article, a generalized equation was used to describe and speed up numerical calculations of the inner points of both known and other asymmetrical tools, and wear profiles were obtained for different shape tools and oscillation amplitudes.
