Journal ArticleDOI
Calcium-induced generation of reactive oxygen species in brain mitochondria is mediated by permeability transition.
Magnus Hansson,Roland Månsson,Roland Månsson,Saori Morota,Saori Morota,Saori Morota,Hiroyuki Uchino,Therése Kallur,Tetsuo Sumi,Nagao Ishii,Motohide Shimazu,Marcus F. Keep,Alexandr Jegorov,Eskil Elmér +13 more
TL;DR: While intact respiring mitochondria possess powerful antioxidant capability, mPT induces a dysregulated oxidative state with loss of GSH- and NADPH-dependent ROS detoxification and it is proposed that mPT is a significant cause of pathological ROS generation in excitotoxic cell death.
Journal ArticleDOI
Glycosylation of silybin
Vladimír Křen,Jiří Kubisch,Petr Sedmera,Petr Halada,Věra Přikrylová,Alexandr Jegorov,Ladislav Cvak,Rolf Gebhardt,Jitka Ulrichová,Vilím Šimánek +9 more
TL;DR: These new sily bin glycosides are 4–30 times more water-soluble, and their hepatoprotectivity is increased compared with that of the parent compound silybin 1.
Patent
Polymorphs of dasatinib and process for preparation thereof
Ondrej Simo,Jiri Filipcik,Alexandr Martaus,Alexandr Jegorov,Ales Gavenda,Judith Aronhime,Pavel Vraspir,Tamas Koltai,Jiri Faustmann,Roman Gabriel +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors provided dasatinib, solvates thereof and their crystalline forms, methods for their preparation, and pharmaceutical compositions thereof, and the formula (I).
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of beauverolide L and cyclosporin A on humoral and cellular immune response of the greater wax moth, Galleria mellonella.
TL;DR: In vitro assays with dissolved metabolites indicated no adverse effects of beauverolide L or cyclosporin A on attachment or spreading of isolated plasmatocytes but dose-dependent inhibition of their phagocytic activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Beauverolides L and La from Beauveria tenella and Paecilomyces fumosoroseus
Alexandr Jegorov,Petr Sedmera,Vladimír Maťha,Petr Šimek,Helena Zahradníčková,Zdeněk Landa,Jacob Eyal +6 more
TL;DR: New beauverolides L and La were isolated from the entomopathogenic fungi, Beauveria tenella and Paecilomyces fumosoroseus and deduced from HPLC and GC-mass spectrometric analyses of their hydrolysates and NMR and mass spectral data.
