Tunable Energy-Transfer Process in Heterometallic MOF Materials Based on 2,6-Naphthalenedicarboxylate: Solid-State Lighting and Near-Infrared Luminescence Thermometry
Gervasio Gomez,Riccardo Marin,Albano N. Carneiro Neto,Alexandre M. P. Botas,Jeffrey S. Ovens,Alexandros A. Kitos,María C. Bernini,Luís D. Carlos,Galo J. A. A. Soler-Illia,Muralee Murugesu +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the porosity of trivalent lanthanide ions (Ln3+) has been investigated for coordination compounds, with metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) being among the most sought-after in recent years.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magneto-Luminescence Correlation in the Textbook Dysprosium(III) Nitrate Single-Ion Magnet
Ekaterina Mamontova,Jérôme Long,Rute A. S. Ferreira,Alexandre M. P. Botas,Dominique Luneau,Yannick Guari,Luís D. Carlos,Joulia Larionova +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a simple molecule based on Dy3+ ion exhibiting a field induced SIM property and a characteristic Dy 3+ based emission is presented, and it is shown that it is possible to correlate the magnetic and luminescent properties and to obtain the Orbach barrier from the low temperature emission spectra.
Journal ArticleDOI
Field-induced slow magnetic relaxation and luminescence thermometry in a mononuclear ytterbium complex
Matilde Fondo,Julio Corredoira-Vázquez,Ana M. García-Deibe,Jesús Sanmartín-Matalobos,Martín Amoza,Alexandre M. P. Botas,Rute A. S. Ferreira,Luís D. Carlos,Enrique Colacio +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the opto-magnetic properties of 1·2MeOH were investigated, showing that this complex is a bifunctional compound and that it reveals two coexisting functionalities: field-induced single molecule magnet behaviour and Yb3+-centred NIR fluorescence dependent on temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
A New Generation of Primary Luminescent Thermometers Based on Silicon Nanoparticles and Operating in Different Media
Alexandre M. P. Botas,Carlos D. S. Brites,Jeslin J. Wu,Uwe Kortshagen,Rui N. Pereira,Rui N. Pereira,Luís D. Carlos,Rute A. S. Ferreira +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a self-calibrated nanothermometer with a calibration curve predicted by a well-stablished state equation is presented, avoiding new calibration procedures whenever the thermometer operates in different media.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-Quantum-Yield Upconverting Er3+/Yb3+-Organic–Inorganic Hybrid Dual Coatings for Real-Time Temperature Sensing and Photothermal Conversion
Fábio J. Caixeta,Fábio J. Caixeta,Ana R. N. Bastos,Alexandre M. P. Botas,Leonardo S. Rosa,Vítor S. Souza,Fernanda H. Borges,Albano N. Carneiro Neto,Alban Ferrier,Alban Ferrier,Philippe Goldner,Luís D. Carlos,Rogéria Rocha Gonçalves,Rute A. S. Ferreira +13 more
TL;DR: Flexible coatings with dual capabilities for remote real-time temperature sensing and photothermal conversion have a huge potential in the field of advanced thermal actuated optoelectronic applicat...
