Journal ArticleDOI

Selective aging of the human cerebral cortex observed in vivo: differential vulnerability of the prefrontal gray matter.

TL;DR: Small but consistent rightward asymmetry was found in the whole cerebral hemispheres, superior parietal, fusiform and orbito-frontal cortices, postcentral and prefrontal white matter, and in the parietal white matter.
Journal Article

The need for speed: an update on methamphetamine addiction.

TL;DR: This work provides a comprehensive description of the factors relating to MA use and the major health-related consequences, with an emphasis on MA-induced psychosis, and hopes that increased knowledge of MA abuse will provide the basis for future treatment strategies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective neuroanatomic abnormalities in Down's syndrome and their cognitive correlates: evidence from MRI morphometry.

TL;DR: The pattern of selective cerebral damage in adults with Down's syndrome does not clearly fit the predictions of the premature aging or Alzheimer's disease hypotheses, and the correlational analysis suggested age-related decline in the DS subjects in general intelligence and basic linguistic skills.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clozapine alone versus clozapine and risperidone with refractory schizophrenia.

TL;DR: The addition of risperidone to clozapine did not improve symptoms in patients with severe schizophrenia, and there was no statistically significant difference in symptomatic benefit between augmentation with ris peridone and placebo.
