Journal ArticleDOI
Bipolar plates for PEM fuel cells: A review
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed various types of materials, in use and proposed, for bipolar plates and critically examined their physical and chemical properties, including non-porous graphite, coated metallic sheets, polymer composites, etc.
Journal ArticleDOI
Band-gap engineering in Cu(In,Ga) Se2 thin films grown from (In,Ga)2Se3 precursors
Andrew M. Gabor,John R. Tuttle,M. H. Bode,A. Franz,Andrew L. Tennant,Miguel A. Contreras,Rommel Noufi,D. Garth Jensen,Allen M. Hermann +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction of Cu + Se with (In,Ga) 2 Se 3, which leads to a spontaneous grading in the Ga content as a function of depth through the film, was examined.

Tuneable microwave devices including fringe effect capacitor incorporating ferroelectric films
TL;DR: In this paper, a tuneable fringe effect capacitor for conducting radio frequency energy is proposed, which includes a thin film of ferroelectric material, a pair of films of a conductive material deposited on the ferro-electric film with a gap between the films, and a substrate for the material and the conductive films.
Journal ArticleDOI
Silicoboron-Carbonitride Ceramics: A Class of High Temperature, Dopable Electronic Materials
P A. Ramakrishnan,Y. T. Wang,Davor Balzar,Linan An,Christoph Haluschka,Ralf Riedel,Allen M. Hermann +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the structure and electronic properties of polymer-derived silicoboron-carbonitride ceramics are reported, and the local structure is comprised of Si tetrahedra with B, C, and N at the corners.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanostructured MnO2 for Li batteries
TL;DR: In this article, an α-MnO2 polymorph which crystallizes with a hollandite-type structure was synthesized by combining sol-gel chemistry and template-based methods using XRD, SEM, TEM, EDX and ICP analysis.
