Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, molecular docking, antimycobacterial and antimicrobial evaluation of new pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridine Mannich bases
Gilish Jose,Tholappanavara H. Suresha Kumara,Tholappanavara H. Suresha Kumara,H.B.V. Sowmya,Dharmarajan Sriram,Tayur N. Guru Row,Amar A. Hosamani,Sunil S. More,Bhavya Janardhan,B.G. Harish,Sandeep Telkar,Yalegara Siddappa Ravikumar +11 more
TL;DR: The synthesis and biological evaluation of a new series of pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridine Mannich bases (7a-v) and molecular docking of the active compounds against glutamate racemase (MurI) and Mtb glutamine synthetase were explained the structure-activity observed in vitro.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, structural characterization, antimicrobial and DNA binding studies of homoleptic zinc and copper complexes of NO Schiff bases derived from homoveratrylamine
C.E. Satheesh,P. Raghavendra Kumar,N. Shivakumar,K. Lingaraju,P. Murali Krishna,H. Rajanaika,Amar A. Hosamani +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, four homoleptic zinc (1 and 2) and copper (3 and 4) complexes of two Schiff base ligands (L1H and L2H) derived from 2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)ethan-1-amine (5), a dimethyl derivative of dopamine were synthesized.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization, nucleic acid interactions and photoluminescent properties of methaniminium hydrazone Schiff base and its Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes
TL;DR: In this article, a methaniminium hydrazone ligand was used in synthesis of mononuclear Mn(II, Co(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II).
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, molecular docking and anti-mycobacterial evaluation of new imidazo(1,2-a)pyridine-2-carboxamide derivatives
Gilish Jose,T.H. Suresha Kumara,T.H. Suresha Kumara,Gopalpur Nagendrappa,H.B.V. Sowmya,Dharmarajan Sriram,Perumal Yogeeswari,Jonnalagadda Padma Sridevi,Tayur N. Guru Row,Amar A. Hosamani,P. S. Sujan Ganapathy,N. Chandrika,L.V. Narendra +12 more
TL;DR: Amongst the tested compounds 5j, 5l and 5q were emerged as good anti-tubercular agents with low cytotoxicity, and the structure-anti TB activity relationship of these derivatives was explained by molecular docking.
Journal ArticleDOI
Charge density analysis of metformin chloride, a biguanide anti-hyperglycemic agent
Rajendran Niranjana Devi,Christian Jelsch,S. Israel,Emmanuel Aubert,C. Anzline,Amar A. Hosamani +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the experimental and theoretical charge density analysis of metformin chloride with high-resolution X-ray diffraction data at low temperature (100 K) was performed and these experimental results were compared with that derived from the corresponding periodic theoretical calculations at the B3LYP/6-31G** level of theory.
