Methane emission from flooded rice fields under irrigated conditions

TL;DR: In this article, a study on CH4 emission from flooded rice fields under irrigated conditions, fields planted with rice emitted more methane than unplanted fields, and the CH4 efflux in planted plots varied with the rice variety and growth stage and ranged from 4 to 26 mg h-1m-2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of hexachlorocyclohexane on metel4ne production and emission from flooded rice soil

TL;DR: In this paper, a commercial formulation (an isomeric mixture) of hmachlorocyelohexane (HCH) to flooded rise fields planted to cv.g−1 soil at flooding, effected a distinct inhibition of methane production.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of pesticides on microbial biomass of flooded soil

TL;DR: In this paper, repeated applications of a commercial formulation (an isomeric mixture) of hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) to flooded soil caused a marked increase in microbial biomass content.
