Structural and Femtosecond Third-Order Nonlinear Optical Properties of Sodium Borate Oxide Glasses: Effect of Antimony
G. Jagannath,B. Eraiah,Anuraag Gaddam,Hugo R. Fernandes,Daniela Brazete,K. Jayanthi,K. N. Krishnakanth,Venugopal Rao Soma,José M.F. Ferreira,Kalyandurg Annapurna,Amarnath R. Allu +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, structural and optical properties of antimony-containing sodium borate glasses were studied and their ultrafast third-order nonlinear optical properties have been evaluated using Z-scan measu...
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of gold nanoparticles on the nonlinear optical and photoluminescence properties of Eu2O3 doped alkali borate glasses.
G. Jagannath,B. Eraiah,K. Jayanthi,Shweta Rani Keshri,Sudipta Som,G. Vinitha,A.G. Pramod,K. N. Krishnakanth,G. Devarajulu,Sathravada Balaji,S. Venugopal Rao,Kalyandurg Annapurna,Subrata Das,Amarnath R. Allu +13 more
TL;DR: The NLO and PL studies suggested that the investigated glasses containing a 0.01 mol% of AuCl3 is practically appropriate for photonic applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structure and Crystallization of Alkaline-Earth Aluminosilicate Glasses: Prevention of the Alumina-Avoidance Principle
Amarnath R. Allu,Anuraag Gaddam,Sudheer Ganisetti,Sathravada Balaji,Renée Siegel,Glenn C. Mather,Margit Fábián,Maria J. Pascual,Nicoletta Ditaranto,Wolfgang Milius,Jürgen Senker,D.A. Agarkov,Vladislav V. Kharton,José M.F. Ferreira +13 more
TL;DR: It is shown that breaching of the Al-avoidance principle is essential for understanding the distribution of network-forming AlO4 and SiO4 structural units in alkaline-earth aluminosilicate glasses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cooling rate effects on the structure of 45S5 bioglass: Insights from experiments and simulations
Pratik Bhaskar,Rajesh Kumar,Yashasvi Maurya,R. Ravinder,Amarnath R. Allu,Sumanta Das,Nitya Nand Gosvami,Randall E. Youngman,Mikkel Sandfeld Bødker,Nerea Mascaraque,Morten Mattrup Smedskjær,Mathieu Bauchy,N. M. Anoop Krishnan +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the molecular dynamics simulations with cooling rates ranging over several orders of magnitude and experimental studies using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) were used to investigate the structure of the nominal 45S5 bioglass composition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Elucidating the structure and optimising the photoluminescence properties of Sr2Al3O6F: Eu3+ oxyfluorides for cool white-LEDs
P. Ranjith,S. Sreevalsa,Jyoti Tyagi,K. Jayanthi,G. Jagannath,Pritha Patra,Shahzad Ahmad,Kalyandurg Annapurna,Amarnath R. Allu,Subrata Das,Subrata Das +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a hexagonal symmetry structure of the Sr2Al3O6F was synthesized via a solid-state methodology and the X-ray diffraction pattern was refined by the Rietveld refinement with lattice parameters a = 17.8232(1) A and c = 7.2168(0) A. The stability of the crystal structure is further confirmed from the results of bond valence sums and the global instability index.
