Journal ArticleDOI
Decarboxylation Study of Acidic Cannabinoids: A Novel Approach Using Ultra-High-Performance Supercritical Fluid Chromatography/Photodiode Array-Mass Spectrometry
Mei Wang,Yan-Hong Wang,Bharathi Avula,Mohamed M. Radwan,Amira S. Wanas,John van Antwerp,Jon F. Parcher,Mahmoud A. ElSohly,Ikhlas A. Khan +8 more
TL;DR: The reported UHPSFC/PDA-MS method provided consistent and sensitive analysis of phytocannabinoids and their decarboxylation products and degradants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthetic cannabinoids: analysis and metabolites.
TL;DR: This chapter reviews the different classes of these "synthetic cannabinoids" with particular emphasis on the methods used for their identification in the herbal products with which they are mixed and identification of their metabolites in biological specimens.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of 11 Cannabinoids in Biomass and Extracts of Different Varieties of Cannabis Using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography.
Waseem Gul,Shahbaz W. Gul,Mohamed M. Radwan,Amira S. Wanas,Zlatko Mehmedic,Ikhlas I Khan,Maged H. M. Sharaf,Mahmoud A. ElSohly +7 more
TL;DR: The validated HPLC single-laboratory validation method is simple, sensitive, and reproducible and is therefore suitable for the detection and quantification of these cannabinoids in different types of cannabis plant materials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative Determination of Cannabinoids in Cannabis and Cannabis Products Using Ultra‐High‐Performance Supercritical Fluid Chromatography and Diode Array/Mass Spectrometric Detection
Mei Wang,Yan-Hong Wang,Bharathi Avula,Mohamed M. Radwan,Mohamed M. Radwan,Amira S. Wanas,Amira S. Wanas,Zlatko Mehmedic,John van Antwerp,Mahmoud A. ElSohly,Ikhlas A. Khan,Ikhlas A. Khan +11 more
TL;DR: The UHPSFC chromatographic separation of cannabinoids displayed an inverse elution order compared to UHPLC, and combined with PDA‐MS, this orthogonality is valuable for discrimination of cannabinoids in complex matrices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of Terpenes in Cannabis sativa L. Using GC/MS: Method Development, Validation, and Application.
Elsayed A. Ibrahim,Elsayed A. Ibrahim,Mei Wang,Mohamed M. Radwan,Mohamed M. Radwan,Amira S. Wanas,Amira S. Wanas,Chandrani G. Majumdar,Baharthi Avula,Yan-Hong Wang,Ikhlas A. Khan,Suman Chandra,Hemant Lata,Ghada M. Hadad,Randa A. Abdel Salam,Amany K. Ibrahim,Safwat A. Ahmed,Mahmoud A. ElSohly +17 more
TL;DR: The proposed GC-MS method is highly selective, reliable, and accurate and has been applied to the simultaneous determination of these major terpenes in the C. sativa biomass produced by the facility at the University of Mississippi as well as in confiscated marijuana samples.
