Journal ArticleDOI

Transforming growth factor-β1 induces activation of Ras, Raf-1, MEK and MAPK in rat hepatic stellate cells

TL;DR: It is suggested that the use of nanofiltration membranes for the recovery of phosphorous with a second type of technology is a viable process and should be considered as a possibility for further research.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transforming growth factor-beta1-induced activation of the Raf-MEK-MAPK signaling pathway in rat lung fibroblasts via a PKC-dependent mechanism.

TL;DR: It is shown that calcium-dependent isoforms of PKC are required for MAPK activation by TGF-beta1, which regulates cell proliferation and turnover of macromolecular components of the extracellular matrix.
