Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of Brain Activation in Unresponsive Patients with Acute Brain Injury
J. Claassen,Kevin Doyle,Adu Matory,Caroline Couch,Kelly M Burger,Angela Velazquez,Joshua U Okonkwo,Jean-Rémi King,Soojin Park,Sachin Agarwal,David Roh,Murad Megjhani,Andrey Eliseyev,E. Sander Connolly,Benjamin Rohaut +14 more
TL;DR: A dissociation between the absence of behavioral responses to motor commands and the evidence of brain activation in response to these commands in EEG recordings was found in 15% of patients in a consecutive series of patients with acute brain injury.
Journal ArticleDOI
An exoskeleton controlled by an epidural wireless brain-machine interface in a tetraplegic patient: a proof-of-concept demonstration.
Alim-Louis Benabid,Thomas Costecalde,Andrey Eliseyev,Guillaume Charvet,Alexandre Verney,Serpil Karakas,M. Foerster,Aurélien Lambert,Boris Morinière,Neil Abroug,Marie-Caroline Schaeffer,Alexandre Moly,Fabien Sauter-Starace,David Ratel,Cécile Moro,Napoleon Torres-Martinez,Lilia Langar,Manuela Oddoux,Mircea Polosan,Stephane Pezzani,Vincent Auboiroux,Tetiana Aksenova,Corinne Mestais,Stephan Chabardes +23 more
TL;DR: These results showed long-term activation of a four-limb neuroprosthetic exoskeleton by a complete brain-machine interface system using continuous, online epidural ECoG to decode brain activity in a tetraplegic patient.
Journal ArticleDOI
Uncovering Consciousness in Unresponsive ICU Patients: Technical, Medical and Ethical Considerations.
TL;DR: This article is one of ten reviews selected from the Annual Update in Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine 2019, which describes the state of the art in intensive care and emergency medicine in 2019.
Journal ArticleDOI
L1-Penalized N-way PLS for subset of electrodes selection in BCI experiments
Andrey Eliseyev,Cécile Moro,Jean Faber,Alexander Wyss,Napoleon Torres,Corinne Mestais,Alim-Louis Benabid,Tetiana Aksenova +7 more
TL;DR: The L1-Penalized NPLS was applied for the binary self-paced BCI system calibration, providing selection of electrodes subset, allowing uniting the projection technique with an effective selection of subset of features.
Journal ArticleDOI
Recursive N-way partial least squares for brain-computer interface.
Andrey Eliseyev,Tetiana Aksenova +1 more
TL;DR: The RNPLS algorithm demonstrates fast and stable convergence of regression coefficients and can be effectively applied in a variety of multi-modal neural activity flow modeling tasks.
