Journal ArticleDOI
High-temperature photomagnetism in co-doped yttrium iron garnet films
TL;DR: In this paper, a phenomenological theory of photoinduced anisotropy was proposed to explain the photomagnetic effect of laser light on epitaxial films induced by linearly polarized argon laser light.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spin reorientation transitions in Pt/Co/Pt films under low dose Ga+ ion irradiation
J. Jaworowicz,Andrzej Maziewski,P. Mazalski,M. Kisielewski,Iosif Sveklo,Maria Tekielak,Vitalii Zablotskii,Jacques Ferré,Nicolas Vernier,Alexandra Mougin,A. Henschke,Jürgen Fassbender +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic anisotropy of a Pt/Co(2.6 nm)/Pt film is first changed from in-plane to out-of-plane by uniform low dose Ga+ ion irradiation at 30 keV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Colloidal domain lithography for regularly arranged artificial magnetic out-of-plane monodomains in Au/Co/Au layers.
Piotr Kuświk,Arno Ehresmann,Maria Tekielak,B. Szymański,Iosif Sveklo,P. Mazalski,Dieter Engel,Jan Kisielewski,Daniel Lengemann,Maciej Urbaniak,Christoph Schmidt,Andrzej Maziewski,Feliks Stobiecki +12 more
TL;DR: It is shown that keV He(+) ion bombardment of Au/Co/Au layer systems through a colloidal mask of hexagonally arranged spherical polystyrene beads enables magnetic patterning of regularly arranged cylindrical magnetic monodomains with out-of-plane magnetization embedded in a ferromagnetic matrix with easy-plane anisotropy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetization switching in ferromagnetic microwires
Alexander Chizhik,Vitalii Zablotskii,Andrzej Stupakiewicz,Cristina Gomez-Polo,Andrzej Maziewski,Arcady Zhukov,J. Gonzalez,J.M. Blanco +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, it is shown that in low applied axial fields, on increasing the circular magnetic field produced by current, the initial homogeneous circular magnetization distribution evolves in three sequential steps: (i) the appearance of a helical magnetization state, (ii) a jump to the helical state with opposite chirality, and (iii) a gradual rotation of magnetization toward the new circular state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Light-induced magnetic anisotropy in Co-doped garnet films
TL;DR: Light-induced uniaxial magnetic anisotropy characterized by amplitude, times of creation, and a vanishing factor was studied in this paper. But the results of the experiments were limited to the case of an argon laser.
