Laser-induced magnetization dynamics in a cobalt/garnet heterostructure
M. Pashkevich,Andrzej Stupakiewicz,Alexey Kimel,Andrei Kirilyuk,A. I. Stognij,N. N. Novitskii,Andrzej Maziewski,Theo Rasing +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the magnetization dynamics triggered in a Co/garnet heterostructure by femtosecond laser pulses were investigated. And they showed that light triggers polarization insensitive precession in both the magnetostatically coupled Co layer and the garnet film at two distinct frequencies typical for Co and garnet layers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ellipsometric Selective Sensitivity to Magnetic Nanostructures
Jana Hamrlová,Kamil Postava,Ondřej Životský,David Hrabovský,Jaromír Pištora,Peter Švec,Dušan Janičkovič,Andrzej Maziewski +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the selective magneto-optic (MO) ellipsometry of ferromagnetic materials is used to separate magnetic contributions from different depths and materials in nanostructures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic anisotropy and phase transitions in co-doped yttrium iron garnet films
TL;DR: In this paper, Co,Ca,Ge films grown on (001) plane substrate were investigated down to liquid helium temperatures using torque anisometry technique, and successively lowering temperature spin-reorientational transitions were observed between following easy magnetization axes (EMA) Orientations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic Anisotropy of Co Films Annealed by Laser Pulses
Jan Kisielewski,Kamil Postava,Iosif Sveklo,Alexander Nedzved,P. Trzciński,Andrzej Maziewski,B. Szymański,Maciej Urbaniak,Feliks Stobiecki +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic properties of an ultrathin cobalt film were modified by a focused femtosecond pulsed laser beam, which induces local reorientation of magnetization from an inplane to a perpendicular state and an increase of the coercivity field.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modification of Magnetic Properties of Pt/Co/Pt Films by Ga+ Ion Irradiation: Focused versus Uniform Irradiation
Iosif Sveklo,P. Mazalski,P. Mazalski,J. Jaworowicz,J. Jaworowicz,Jean Pierre Jamet,Nicolas Vernier,Alexandra Mougin,Jacques Ferré,M. Kisielewski,Vitalii Zablotskii,E. Bourhis,Jacques Gierak,Kamil Postava,Jürgen Fassbender,Jarosław Kanak,Andrzej Maziewski +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, irradiation-induced changes of magnetic and magneto-optical properties of sputtered Pt/Co/Pt ultrathin trilayers films have been studied as a function of the ion fluence.
