Journal ArticleDOI
Further insight into the microstructure of compacted bentonite–sand mixture
TL;DR: In this paper, microfocus X-ray computed tomography (µCT) observations were used in parallel with MIP measurements to further investigate at larger scale the microstructure of a laboratory compacted bentonite/sand disk (65/35% in mass).
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation of the hydro-mechanical behaviour of fouled ballast *
TL;DR: In this paper, a fouled ballast taken from the site of Senissiat, France, was investigated for the hydraulic behavior, a large-scale cell was developed allowing drainage and evaporation tests to be carried out with monitoring of both suction and volumetric water content at various positions of the sample.
Journal ArticleDOI
Poroelasticity of the Callovo–Oxfordian Claystone
Malik Belmokhtar,Pierre Delage,Siavash Ghabezloo,Anh Minh Tang,Hamza Menaceur,Hamza Menaceur,Nathalie Conil +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, an experimental investigation of the poroelastic behavior of the Callovo-Oxfordian claystone, a potential host rock for the deep underground repository of high-level radioactive waste in France, has been conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of freeze-thaw cycles on mechanical strength of lime-treated fine-grained soils
Thi Thanh Hang Nguyen,Yu-Jun Cui,Valéry Ferber,Gontran Herrier,Tamer Ozturk,Fabrice Plier,Daniel Puiatti,Simon Salager,Anh Minh Tang +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, three types of fine-grained soils were treated at three lime contents (lower, equal and higher than the lime fixation point) at four curing periods (7, 28, 90 and 365 days).
Journal ArticleDOI
Atmosphere–vegetation–soil interactions in a climate change context; impact of changing conditions on engineered transport infrastructure slopes in Europe
Anh Minh Tang,Paul Hughes,Tom Dijkstra,Amin Askarinejad,Mihael Brenčič,Yu-Jun Cui,J.J. Diez,T. Firgi,Beata Gajewska,F. Gentile,Giovanna Grossi,Cristina Jommi,Fotini Kehagia,Eugeniusz Koda,H.W. ter Maat,Stanislav Lenart,Sérgio D. N. Lourenço,M. Oliveira,Piotr Osiński,Sarah M. Springman,Ross Stirling,David G. Toll,V. Van Beek +22 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an overview of the impact of climate change on infrastructure, focusing on recent advances from the literature and those made by members of COST Action TU1202.
