EGFR family expression in breast carcinomas. c‐erbB‐2 and c‐erbB‐4 receptors have different effects on survival
Zhenhe Suo,Björn Risberg,Mats G. Kalsson,Kenneth Willman,Anne Tierens,Eva Skovlund,Jahn M. Nesland +6 more
TL;DR: C‐erbB‐2 expression in breast carcinomas is associated with an unfavourable clinical course and EGFR expression has a synergistic effect, however, c‐erb B‐4 antagonizes the c‐ DerbyshireB‐4 effect on clinical course in Breast carcinomas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rituximab blocks protective serologic response to influenza A (H1N1) 2009 vaccination in lymphoma patients during or within 6 months after treatment.
Olav Erich Yri,Dag Torfoss,Olav Hungnes,Anne Tierens,Kristian Waalen,Tone Nordøy,Susanne Gjeruldsen Dudman,A Kilander,Karin Fahl Wader,Bjørn Østenstad,Roald Ekanger,Peter Meyer,Arne Kolstad +12 more
TL;DR: Investigating whether lymphoma patients undergoing rituximab-containing treatment regimens or having received such regimens within the past 6 months were able to mount protective antibody responses to the influenza A(H1N1) 2009 virus vaccine Pandemrix during the 2009 "swine flu" pandemic found none of the 67 patients achieved protective antibody titers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Marginal-Zone B Cells in the Human Lymph Node and Spleen Show Somatic Hypermutations and Display Clonal Expansion
TL;DR: It is shown that marginal-zone B cells may cycle and that clones of B cells are frequently detected in the nodal as well as the splenic marginal zone, which favor the hypothesis that clonal expansion occurs in the marginal zone.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Transcription Factor PU.1, Necessary for B-Cell Development Is Expressed in Lymphocyte Predominance, But Not Classical Hodgkin’s Disease
TL;DR: The study confirmed that B-cell-specific activator protein but not Oct-2 is not expressed by cHD, and likely contributes to the lack of immunoglobulin expression and incomplete B- cell phenotype characteristic of the Reed-Sternberg cells in cHD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Primary cold agglutinin associated lymphoproliferative disease: a B-cell lymphoma of the bone marrow distinct from lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma
Ulla Randen,Gunhild Trøen,Anne Tierens,Chloé B. Steen,Abdirashid Warsame,Klaus Beiske,Geir E. Tjønnfjord,Sigbjørn Berentsen,Jan Delabie +8 more
TL;DR: The absence of plasmacytoid cells, the presence of plasma cells predominantly outside the nodular lymphoid infiltrates, IGHV4-34 restriction and absence of MYD88 L265P mutation strongly suggest that cold agglutinin-associated lymphoproliferative disease is a distinct entity that is different from lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma.
